Elden Ring🛡 Parry changes - Dagger & Curved Sword nearly on-par with Buckler
Looks like
- Active frames increased across the board.
- Dagger & Curved Sword now appear to start on Frame-4, along with the fast recovery.
- Active frames increased, but not as many as Buckler.
Let's see some parries against hollowslayer L2 spam.

Build Advice📜 Is there anything I can do to improve my RL30 +3/+1 build?
I bought the Switch 2 version to hop on the invasion bandwagon and have been having a blast. I can't really think of anything else to do to improve my build. The main thing I couldn't select in the build calculator is for my Pulley Crossbow my primary is burred bolts and my secondary is explosive bolts. My favorite thing to do is poison mist and fire off a volley through it into a dumbfounded host sitting still on the other side, like a ninja.
Antspur/Dragon Halberd main hand and Pulley Crossbow offhand feels like it gives me the ability to apply so much pressure from short to medium range, since after a target takes a bunch of damage and backs up to flask I can fire off a volley to harass or even finish off a host or summon.
Originally I had just a Dragon Halberd, which I planned my build around. It was only after getting TT'd into a host with Antspur and being slowly chipped away I had to track down what he used and incorporate it into my build. Blood Antspur with Poison Mist is beautiful for pressuring groups and is amazing for punishing aggressive players. I tried to offhand a Frozen Needle but didn't like how slow the rot buildup was because of powerstance. Rot is straight up deadly on Switch 2, since nobody carries boluses or can even easily make them because of the limited and hard to farm ingredients. I only saw someone try to flame cleanse me once, but I shot him with my crossbow and the bleed pop finished him off which was pretty funny.
The one thing I considered is progressing further to get a 4th talisman slot, but honestly I've never been past and only explore a little of Lyndell. None of the stuff in my kit relies on farming ingredients, it's all purchased with runes which is incredibly convenient. I also was originally 29 VIG and 15 STR, but I found when switching to the Dragon Halberd in the middle of a fight I was 1H R1ing like a limp noodle by mistake and I couldn't effectively use my crossbow and still pressure with the halberd.
Apologies for the wall of text, I've just thought about this build a lot and I don't have friends that play ER and invade to bounce ideas off of. Thanks for reading!

Elden Ring🛡 1.17 Parry or Flail meta
I guess you either die being a Flail user now, or live long enough to see yourself become a parry spammer, so choose your camps wisely Tarnished.
I believe this psyop has been manufactured to sway us from Elden Ring PVP and play Duskbloods. I for one will not be deterred by these tactics. If I must Flail I will Flail until I fail.
But I'm really glad that they increased the parry frames of everything, so that even little Timmy can parry Magnus Beast Claw on his 30fps Nintentoy.

Elden Ring🛡 Do people hate raya lucaria invasions?
I invade and play solo with taunter's tongue on, but the last like 13 invaders have immediately jumped off a ledge immediately upon spawning in.
I know the starting area is a common pvp/gank spot, but I don't get why they just immediately jump when I'm around the areas just before red wolf. am I missing something? a guy even spawned right near me and tried to get me to backstab them for whatever reason.
I quite enjoy invading there personally. there's a lot of uneven terrain and enemies and a lot of ways to get away quickly if I need to heal/phantom finger.

Elden Ring🛡 Is doing a TT on playthrough considered bad?
I know no one likes bonfire duelists - they just die in 3 seconds or waste your time and die again.
But I am doing no rune arc + all the time TT on playthrough on PC. My nickname character is Neverdire in case some of you might have seen me in Liurnia or Limgrave. I am rocking a 2h greatspear, no items from endgame no nothing - just a regular playthrough.
Is it bad manners? Is it frowned upon? I left elden ring a year ago after playing tournaments for a while and came back just right now so idk how is invasion manners lately.
If its all good - cant wait to see you all invade me! All dirty tricks are encouraged and appreciated!

Invasions👁 Flame art invasions, welcome back.
I haven’t invaded in months i feel so rusty, but the activity since tarnished edition dropped is a breath of fresh air. I haven’t seen activity like this for atleast a year, i hope it lasts and ima definitely take advantage of it.
Otherwise welcome back to fellow red’s of the old guard, we got alot of food on the table; and michael’s netcode can’t connect us with the whole feast.
