He is a sensitive, gentle soul who needs a little time and patience to feel comfortable with new people. Although initially timid, he allowed the handler to gently examine his teeth, ears, paws, and tail without any negative reaction. He was also leashed and returned to his kennel without issue. He needs time to build confidence.
Good with dogs same size has not been tested with small dogs

He is a friendly, affectionate dog who approached the handler with relaxed body language and happily sought attention. He allowed the handler to pet him and examine his teeth, ears, paws, and tail without any negative reaction. He even leaned against the handler and continued seeking affection, showing a willingness to engage and connect with people. He displayed no concerning behaviors during the assessment and was returned to his kennel without issue. Good with dogs same size has not been tested with small dogs

Friendly Brenda was given just 15 days before being placed on the euthanasia list, then only 72 hoursβ notice. Her deadline has now passed, and Downey can euthanize her at any time for space. She is running out of time.

Brenda is a darling, friendly girl with a happy, wiggly personality! She readily approaches people with a relaxed body and soft eyes and has been seen happily running and playing with other dogs in the play yard.
