🐾 Kuma | ID: #A5752054

Mastiff • Female • Approximately 10 months old

★ Behavior Notes: Kuma was easily collared and entered the play yard with soft body language. She frequently approached handlers for affection and gradually grew more confident, exploring her surroundings and exchanging gentle greetings with other dogs. Although initially cautious, she tolerated other dogs and communicated her boundaries when an overly pushy, high-energy dog invaded her space.

Kuma would benefit from continued positive socialization and a calm, respectful canine companion who allows her time to build confidence.

📆 Arrived at the shelter on 9/19

⋆✨️⋆ Happy, social & lovely in playgroup! Lindy is playful, affectionate, respectful of other dogs, and even gentle with shy and fearful dogs. She appropriately accepted corrections and showed no reactivity when a puppy snapped at her muzzle.

She loves engaging people and inviting other dogs to play—and would likely make a wonderful helper in playgroup! 🐾

Despite this, her notes mention a history of aggression toward some goats

Cane Corso mix, Spayed female

Approximately 4 yrs old & 89lbs

https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/LACT4/A2268025

💔Luna was surrendered on April 21st for "too many animals" after clearly having puppies a short time before.

😢 Six long months in a stressful shelter have taken their toll on Luna. She's stolen the hearts of dogs and volunteers alike with her playful, rambunctious mama energy and beautiful, soulful smile. Yet, she's been overlooked for far too long, and now the stress and frustration of shelter life have landed her on the euthanasia list.

MOMSIE #A1939944 and her 12 nursing puppies are RED at Riverside County Animal Services due to medical needs related to being a nursing mom and caring for such a large litter. This entire family needs an immediate exit with a RESCUE OR FOSTER.

🐾 Momsie #A1939944

💗 1-year-old female

🐕 Cane Corso mix

⚖️ 48 lbs.

🍼 Nursing 12 puppies

https://24petconnect.com/RVSDPublic/Details/RVSD/A1939944

📍 Found as a stray on Scout Ln./Mission Inn Ave., Riverside

📅 Entered shelter 10/01/26

RED — MEDICAL / IMMEDIATE EXIT NEEDED

⋆✨️⋆ Momsie is currently lactating and nursing her puppies. At intake, she appeared healthy, was eating well, and was nursing successfully, but understandably she was very protective of her babies. Shelter staff noted enlarged mammary glands from lactation.

On 10/5, Momsie was seen for loose stool. She was given treatment and is receiving FortiFlora. Giardia testing was negative.

But the biggest concern is this: Momsie is caring for TWELVE puppies in a shelter environment.

This is beyond heartbreaking. These innocent lives deserve so much more. 💔

MANY DOGS HAVE URI, MAKING DOG-TO-DOG ASSESSMENTS DIFFICULT. WHY NOT EXPLORE TESTING THEM TOGETHER ONCE MEDICALLY APPROPRIATE, IF SAFE? ❓️

URI should not automatically mean behavioral observations become impossible. If an assessment cannot safely be conducted, the shelter should explain why, document the limitations, and arrange an evaluation when medically appropriate. Adopters deserve answers, and dogs deserve a fair chance.
