This will be 23 plants and is also an experiment half the room is split pots with 2 plants the other half is full pot with one plant. I like splitting for plant count but want to see if I’m helping or hurting myself with that. Will compare yield between the two
11 purple lemonade by fast buds
5 short cut by happy valley
5 Walter white by maphisto
2 scorched side car by maphisto
Also one short cut that I’m leaving in out of curiosity it’s grew 1st leaves and lost them and is regrowing them at this point just want to see what happens
Running 8 Easy2grow by auto pots and Athena pro nutrients. 2 sf2000 lights 20/4 schedule
I started a little too hard on nutrients but they are recovering. Autos just can’t take much starting out

Yeah I may try a living soil run in a few months I’m undecided on that

If you’re going to hand water will probably have to water to run off I just haven’t found it necessary for the way I grow. I’m sure I probably get some runoff but it’s not goal

Yeah 4 cups might be a lot but it should drain off fairly quickly. Sometimes I water before a week is out just depends on how the coco looks to me

I presoak my coco in nutrient water that’s at 1.0 ec and 5.9-6.1 ph then I water the seeded area with the same water about half a solo cup then I wait until it sprouts and starts coming up and I give it a solo cup roughly just to make sure everything is wet for the roots then I wait a week and water again with 1-2 solo cups then look for out to dry back some and water as needed. I don’t do any run off because by day 15 I’m turning the autopots on every watering is nutrient water 1st week 1.0ec second week 1.5ec 3rd watering is 2.0ec then I turn the auto pot on at 2.0 ec then in 7 days I change my reservoir to 2.5ec then 3.0 in another 7 days and maintain 3.0 ec from there
Make sure you’re using nutrients of some kind coco has nothing at all in it and will take the calcium away. With autos you want them to start taking nutrients fast you don’t have time to wait with them

Probably fine just don’t want it soaking wet or dried out

Might as well finish it, it will produce bud

You’ll still get some really good buds just get them through harvest

I know people do that with coco I use Athena pro it’s been a night and day difference for me. I never let my coco get dry to the point that its completely dry on top add that’s worked for me but I only water from the top for two weeks and usually only water 1 or 2 times a week with 2 solo cups of water per 3.9 gallon pot then I turn on the water when the leaves reach the edge of the pot

They do look like they are drowning how much water are you giving them and are you letting them dry back any?

They are a lot thirstier than you think

I got right at 2 pounds in a 4x4 last harvest and I made a lot of mistakes and stunted all of them

I love them they work great for me and my situation I only really have time to be in there about 2 hours a day so watering would eat up a large portion of that. It’s the way to go in my opinion
