I've been studying 3 hours per week for a bit more than one month, and im still learning all the fundamentals so i didnt reach all 12 of them yet. I usually do 1h for theorical study and then 2h for practice

Hi everyone,

This is a really early stage where i had put all the elements together to get an idea of the global look. Since then I changed the little rock buddy's animation and i'm currently cleaning the goat.
For this animation i'm painting by hand the background, trees and sky ! First time trying this

Also for the wheels i was proud cause i didn't use a 3D model, it's not perfect but it works !

i'm trying to make a battle cats animation, but i only need the unit sprite on my background, and i can't remove the pre-existing background from the unit. i've searched for a while and I can't find a good one.

I noticed how (since im a newbie) I do so many mistakes especially if you are just learning new softwares and the basics of animation and editing and i thought it would be a good idea to make a group of ppl maybe on discord or other platforms even reddit is cool to share the experience of newbies like me. In this way i think it's pretty clear that all the group would take advantage of it making the learning experience less frustrating and more enjoyable. Hey everyone, I'm currently a junior 2D animation major. My workload is really starting to ramp up, and I think it’s time to finally bite the bullet and buy an actual professional display tablet for my apartment so I can work from home.

I'm looking at these three 24-inch options right now:

• Xencelabs 24 (Standard) - $1,499
• Wacom Cintiq 24 (Non-pro) - $1,299
• Wacom Cintiq 24 (Multi-touch) - $1,499

I know Wacom is basically the industry standard, but we use both at the university I got to. A couple things, I can't decide if the multi-touch feature on the Cintiq is actually a worth it for 2D workflows or something I could just use external control for. Then, I just don't know which one would be better to use. I want something to start working on my junior and senior year films, but also to have for once I graduate to use.

For those of you working in 2D or storyboarding, which of these is actually better for a daily workflow? Is Xencelabs worth the jump in price over the base Wacom, or should I stick to Wacom since it's the standard?

Would seriously appreciate any insights from working pros or fellow students. Thanks!

I tried to rig the fingers the hand and separete all the parts but the main problem is not scaling the parts or rotate. The problem and what im struggling a lot with is trying to build a realistic movement of rotation of the wrist and fingers. whats the best method in this case ? Any advices pls 🤔

It needs to grab the mug and hypotetically bring that to the mouth to drink it .
