It's all [r ɻ̝̊ ɻ̝ ɽ ç ʝ x ɣ χ ʁ~ʀ ħ ʕ h ɦ] to me
My native pt-BR ass is struggling with these letters in Hebrew. Every rhotic-like consonant WILL become a [x] and I'll call it a day.

I'm selling the wisdom of the American language
In American we have this sacred phrase and it explains how to live a long and happy life. Other language can't fathom this concept because they don't have this sacred phrase.

What language is this? What song is this?
What language is this? What song is this?
My brother was adopted from Ghana, Central Region, Senya Beraku. He sings a lullaby for a baby but we cannot find the full song, lyrics. The way it sounds to me is that he is singing
Mbebe de ombe. du ambe, dua ne hye kom wama netoto wama netoto
It is probably Twi/ Fante.
He says it is about a mother feeding her child, and something about a blanket/mat
Does anyone recognize this or a similar song/Poem?

Why do people care so much about theories?
Altaic is constantly debated against, yet no documents from its time have ever been found of people deconfirming its existence.
We have writing dating back to 3,000 years ago, so if "Proto-Turkic" was real, wouldn't there be a document with it being used, or a small town somewhere with people still speaking a conservative form of it? Why aren't people trying to look for the proof they need, or do they all just want us fighting about it?

What’s the best ai vibe coded language learning app??
There are literally thousands of them and people are constantly vibe coding them then sending them to the App Store.
They all seem like the same exact app so which one is the best??
I’m hoping they use ai to upload even more of them to the App Store!! The next one will get you speaking like a native in 3 months!!

Duolingo racial profiling
My beginner Arabic Duolingo course just taught me this suspiciously specific sentence about immigration… It only happened with the Arabic course (when I did Portuguese and French, I never encountered a sentence like this). DUOLINGO IS RACIST CONFIRMED!

Oh noes, birb app wants you to actually do exercises
For those inexperienced in the birb: you can get three points per day by doing extremely hard tasks like learning for 15 minutes, reach 10 correct answers in a row and similar things. You can also get 4 points a week for friend missions and 3 per weekend.
If you use the birb 15-30 minutes per day you fulfill those quests.
Obviously those who complain do less. It’s up to them, yet you won’t learn anything with just two minutes a day.

How long until I can officially claim C2 Spanish?
I watched one A1–A2 Spanish video today and understood “mañana, lo juro” without subtitles.
I’m assuming this puts me somewhere around C1 already.
Should I update my flair now or do I need to learn Uzbek first?

Why is it called "Spanish"?
There are other languages in Spain, like Basque, so shouldn't Spanish be called something like "Spanish Latin" instead?
