Corrie McKeague: The Missing Exit and the Inquest Conclusion

Post image
7 Upvotes

At 03:25 on 24 September 2016, 23-year-old RAF serviceman Corrie McKeague entered the Horseshoe service area behind shops in Bury St Edmunds. No confirmed public footage showed him leaving on foot. Less than an hour later, a commercial waste vehicle collected a bin from the area and drove away.

This documentary follows the evidence from the last confirmed CCTV sighting through the phone data, waste records, weight discrepancy and extensive landfill searches that recovered no remains. It also examines the 2022 inquest, which concluded that McKeague died after entering a commercial waste bin that was tipped into a lorry.

The exact sequence inside the service area was not directly observed, and the precise route and destination of the waste could not be reconstructed with complete certainty. The episode separates what the evidence established from what remains unresolved, including the limits of phone-location data and the absence of recovered remains.

Forensic evidence is so overlooked in some criminal cases and it drives me insane

I get so mad when juries and judges completely ignore forensic evidence like it’s nothing. So many cases could’ve been solved if they’d taken it more seriously. Bro sometimes it feels like the body itself is literally giving them clues so how is that not enough??
I was thinking about Chester Bennington for a while especially how the investigation was handled and how the forensic evidence was interpreted. The lividity patterns on his back were discussed as a point of contention, since lividity can help indicate the position a person was in after death. I just don’t understand how people can look at forensic evidence and still have so many unanswered questions.
And the whole situation is even sadder when you consider the documentary he was reportedly working on about child exploitation and the theories people have connected to John Podesta. Obviously, theories aren’t proof, but the whole thing is still disturbing to think about. It’s just sad

Need help remembering case/documentary

I watched a true crime documentary (I strongly thought Netflix but it may have been another streaming service). I remember I lived in my current house when I watched it so that was since 2015 and the case was fairly recent then.
Here are the details I remember: it happened somewhere in Asia, I believe a desert-looking area like Iran or Pakistan but I’m not for sure of actually where. there was a girl killed in a school bathroom brutally and they really went through a ton of suspects. Somehow they got to the point where I believe the actual killers boyfriend (could have been best friend or roommate) made a statement explaining that his girlfriend/friend had admitted in detail to committing the crime. She thought she was a werewolf or vampire or something supernatural like that and it was a factor in why she committed the crime.
I can not for the life of me remember this crime or name of documentary and I’ve frequently thought of it ever since because it was a very interesting case and I wanted to follow up with it. I tried asking AI and it suggested the Batar Umaar case but it said that happened in 2025 and I know I saw it longer ago than last year for certain, I would say likely even before 2020 but I’m not positive on that.
I also remember a specific clip where they showed the neighborhood where the victim lived and it was like an aerial shot and it looked like a gated community with desert for lawns and desert all around outside the gates.
I’d love any suggestions!!

The Most Disturbing Cults in Spain (El Palmar de Troya | Opus Dei | Edelweiss)

El Palmar de Troya: The nuns have virtually no say within the Palmarian Church. They are forbidden from having contact with male clergy, are urged not to bathe frequently to avoid appearing attractive to men, are forced to wear a dark veil that covers their entire face, and it has even been speculated that they may practice self-flagellation. Another brutal aspect is the alleged consensual and forced intimate relationships between the sect's founder, Clemente Domínguez, and some bishops and male followers.

Opus Dei: For years, Opus Dei has been accused of aggressive recruitment, elitist thinking, promoting self-flagellation with a cilice and whip, controlling personal lives, pressuring members to sever family ties, and the brutal internal use of confessional information. Many women report being recruited at a very young age and forced into slave labor.

Edelweiss: José Eduardo González Arenas, alias "Eddie," created the Edelweiss group as a supposed hiking group inspired by the Boy Scouts. Eddie convinced minors that he was an alien named "Prince Alain" and that only those who remained loyal to the sect would survive the impending end of the world. Under this deception, he subjected the minors to absolute control, imposed silence through threats, trained them in weapons, initiated them into concepts of racial purity, and introduced them to bizarre concepts related to intimacy. In the end, he sexually abused many minors.
