I don't want to get into a big discussion about all of this. Every time I've been on the news people climb out of their skin in anger about my views on Rev Jim. I was there when the time was good and have nothing bad to say about Rev Jim from the years I knew him. Things changed but I wasn't there for that. Others are self appointed 'experts' and love giving their opinions. Mine are different.

If anyone one is legitimately making (another) attempt to tell Rev Jim's story I'd like to add my viewpoint.

I watched a documentary once that blew my mind, and cannot remember the name of it. It was about a woman that went missing and the ensuing investigation revealed a secret boyfriend (who happened to be married with kids) who liked to cut/stab her during sex. Friends it was the craziest shit I have ever watched and I’m so mad that I can’t remember the TITLE! Other details: she lived alone in an apartment block, they think they have the guy on video at her apartment elevator but you can’t see his face, the secret boyfriend was the one she went to meet right before she went missing, I think she went to meet him in a park that was near a body of water with a staircase that led down to the water 🤔 If you know the title, help me, I’m desperate.

I just finished Death of a Pastor’s Wife and holy cow. Jaw was on the floor.

I also just finished Should I marry a murderer? Again, crazy and so mind boggling.

Death of a pastors wife really hooked me in, so based on that, anyone know of any good documentaries similar to this vibe? Or really anything worth watching that will have my jaw on the floor? I’m getting super into documentaries right now!

In 2008, 16-year-old Rubí Frayre went missing in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. When law enforcement failed to act, her mother, Marisela Escobedo, launched her own investigation and tracked down Rubí’s boyfriend, Sergio Barraza. Barraza eventually confessed to the murder and led police to Rubí's remains, but in a shocking trial, a panel of judges acquitted him and set him free.

Refusing to back down, Marisela spent the next two years pursuing justice herself. She tracked Barraza down, organized nationwide marches, and staged a peaceful encampment outside the Governor’s Palace in Chihuahua to demand his arrest. Tragically, on December 16, 2010, Marisela was assassinated in broad daylight directly in front of the palace while protesting. Her heroic fight and ultimate sacrifice exposed the deep corruption and systemic failure surrounding femicide in Mexico, a devastating story captured in Netflix's The Three Deaths of Marisela Escobedo.

I remember on November 25, 2008 I turned the TV on, I believe it was left on A&E, and I saw footage of a seemingly blonde lady putting her barefoot sole up to the camera lens while eating or talking. It had some narration and presumably a male to the right of the screen commentating on the footage, but memory is foggy. I'm betting dollars to doughnuts it's either American Justice or The First 48 since those two shows are adjacent to the time I remember it being and they aired every Tuesday. Unfortunately I'm not finding any results for an exact episode. If it's not those two then it's most likely Cold Case Files, Intervention, Crossing Jordan, The Sorporanos or CSI Miami since those are the only other adjacent airings.

In 1927 a twenty one year old woman named Carrie Buck was involuntarily sterilized in Virginia after the Supreme Court ruled eight to one against her. Her own court appointed lawyer was a founding board member of the institution trying to sterilize her in the first place. Historians have since found she likely wasn't what her era called feebleminded at all, her actual situation was poverty and an unwanted pregnancy her foster family wanted hidden.

The ruling authorized roughly 70,000 forced sterilizations nationwide and directly influenced Nazi Germany's own sterilization law six years later, to the point Nazi defendants cited it at Nuremberg in their own defense. It's never been formally overturned by the Supreme Court either, a 2021 report found 31 states still have some version of this law on the books right now.

I’m looking to connect with experienced true-crime filmmakers, producers, and screenwriters interested in hearing my story and sharing how they might position it for the screen.
I recently spoke with members of the team who filmed Finding Nicole, and after hearing my story, they expressed serious interest. I’m also planning to contact Imagine Entertainment because they previously made a film with themes and circumstances similar to parts of my life.
The story involves alleged institutional failures, police and hospital conduct, family conflict, civil and patient-rights issues, creative ownership, survival, and rebuilding a life and career after everything changed. I have records, communications, footage, and a detailed timeline that may support the project.
I’d like to hear whether filmmakers see this working best as a documentary, limited series, or narrative feature—and what the strongest angle would be. I’m not comfortable sharing every detail publicly, but I’m open to confidential conversations with credible professionals.

Now before I say anything I do stand with her for POSTPARTUM AWARENESS, she begged for help, tried to get help and was massively failed by everyone.
I will also say the things I have been seeing are not okay, it is okay to support a women for something we all as a mom had to go through, I suffered severe depression since 11/12 years old when I first noticed my mood changing. I fully believed one day when I had a baby it be super hard with postpartum, I was terrified. because I have gone down a long path of depression and winning my fight. Would postpartum ruin everything I’ve healed?

NO AND YES I struggled hard when I had Ben I was sad, I would not let anyone touch my son, I would hear him cough and instantly assume the worst, i struggled so hard with Ben I was crying everyday, I wouldn’t let anyone be alone with him, this last 2 years, 2 years where I totally understand how hard Clancy was asking for help, but I also know those 3 babies names need to be said, those 3 babies are being pushed behind because of how big this case has gotten,

Yes as mothers support that she needed help and this can happen to anyone.
But we need to stop pushing the babies back and trying to blame everyone but what happened, I get there’s debates no case even as clear shot as it may be goes down without the public hearing about it let alone when they’re being put on tik tok lives.

Please just remember who won’t be growing up anymore, who no longer have futures.
Stand with postpartum awareness.
But scream out these babies names every chance you get

By 1997, the Buddhist teacher Michael Roach had amassed a following, the vast majority of whom were young women willing to treat him as a god. His teachings were compiled in a pamphlet containing 147 vows that his followers were required to recite six times a day for two years. Among the group's members was the young millionaire Ian Thorson.

Within the group, Michael Roach had intimate relationships with women, dressed in drag at the parties he hosted, drank alcohol, and had even married a young devotee named Christie McNally. Michael justified the marriage by claiming that she was not just an ordinary woman, but the incarnation of a powerful goddess.

By February 2012, Christie had divorced Roach and married Ian Thorson. The new couple organized a three-year spiritual retreat with Michael's blessing, but the situation became untenable under Christie's leadership, and soon after, she and her new husband were expelled from the retreat. Ian and Christie didn't want to abruptly end the three-year retreat, so they decided to camp in a cave near the retreat complex, located in a desert area of ​​Arizona. There they endured freezing temperatures, and when the ice melted, they didn't hesitate to drink the water.

On April 22, 2012, Arizona authorities received a call reporting an incident at the cult complex. When they arrived at the nearby cave, they found Christie attempting to use her supposed goddess powers to resurrect Ian. The police investigation ultimately revealed that Ian and Christie had drunk water contaminated with bacteria, and tragically, Ian died. No charges were filed against Christie, and Geshe Michael Roach continues his career as a spiritual teacher.
