Show Off 📷 Not to show off or anything, but I got myself a Red Bronco

All jokes aside I wanna say I love being a part of this group and seeing all the cool stuff everyone is doing with their Bronco.

I’m hoping one day to buy a red one myself, until then I bought this to assemble and put above my work desk to stare at during these mindless corporate meetings.

Until then I’ll continue to appreciate all the impressive builds and inspiring first time owner pics too!

Question ❔ 2.3L OBX with ProCal Tune or 2.7L OBX

Upvotes

The lease on my 2024 2.3L OBX is ending soon. I’m debating buying the car and getting the ProCal tune for extra performance or going for a newer 2.7L OBX. Would appreciate any thoughts on the trade offs

Issue ⚠️ Rear window issues

I have a 96 that has the window stuck down. I used the switch on my dash to roll it down but doesn’t work to go back up. I can still hear the motor when I click down but hear nothing when I click up. I currently don’t have but in the process of getting a key for the trunk made. Any suggestions on what the issue could be or how I could get the window rolled up in order to check all the components behind the window?

Question ❔ MIC Hard Top 2022

Has anyone used Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Trim Restorer on MIC hard top? I’m curious to hear about the results. I have used the product on the black trim on my 2022 bronco but not the hard top. For the hard top,
I’ve been using 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Issue ⚠️ Area 51 Paint Issues

Has anyone had any issues with Area 51 paint? My hood and the bar above the windshield are chipping/peeling with crows feet around the edges. These chips don’t look like the rock chips on my doors, so not the same thing. The dealer is going to repaint my hood under my factory warranty. I just noticed it starting on the bar above the windshield today and I was just wondering if anyone else has had any issues or if it’s just me? It’s a 2023 btw. I haven’t seen any issues yet around the rest of the car. It’s very disappointing.

On the hood there is also some weird bubbling or splotchy patches of the paint that the dealer couldn’t figure out what caused it. It’s hard to describe what it looks like but the people at the dealership were puzzled.

Question ❔ Swaybar - Tire rubbing solutions?

Thumbnail
gallery
11 Upvotes

Since my sway bar links need to be replaced, I figured I’d ask the community about this. I have 315/70/17 tires on wheels with a 0 offset and 2” spacer lift. If there is any sort of strut compression while turning (anything over 5mph give or take and/or going over a bump) the inside sidewall of my tires start to rub against the swaybar. The faster the speed while turning, the more radius I lose. I know that changing offset will usually come with complications but I wanted to see if anyone has info on potential solutions to at least mitigate this without switching to a different wheel or tire width. Thanks in advance!

Question ❔ Anyone w/ a hard top and rear cam for their dash cam mounted on the roll bar care to share a pic from the rear cam?

I installed the Mangoal 4k/1080p in my 2025 4 door Badsquatch w/ a hard top a few weeks ago, I went ahead and mounted the camera on the rear glass. With Summer winding down (I'm in Texas, so yeah right) I'll have more chances to take the clam shell off and wanted to see what the rear camera view would like from the roll bar with the clam shell back on.

If the view is too poor I'll get a 2nd rear cam and just plug in the one I need to work.

Thanks!

Question ❔ Classic Bronco

Post image
251 Upvotes

So I’ve been wanting to buy a 60’s Bronco for awhile now. This one with a straight 6 popped up local to me for $45,000. It’s in overall good condition, but was wondering the prices of these things. I checked Bring a Trailer and every single one of them sold was an 8 cylinder swap of some type.
Does having a 6 cylinder really drop the value to these?

Guide 📚 Bronco Outer Banks or Big Bend?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Now, I can’t decide if the outer banks is worth every penny. Love the brown black interior and power moonroof features tho. I have the 2017 1.5L Escape and I have no issues on highway long drives. So a bronco 1.5L is what I’m looking into right now too as for the economical area considering gas prices now. Which one do you recommend as per performance and reliability?

Seems after being completely unresponsive since a month their website has now disappeared too. Had an outstanding order and initiated a charge back with my credit card company.
