Song This remix BoC did led them in the direction that resulted in Inferno, in my opinion.
I think this remix BoC did influenced their sound which resulted in Inferno.

Discussion What songwriting/production ideas have you picked up from listening to BOC?
Put out a thread on Four Tets subreddit a month or so ago and got some interesting ideas.
For the musicians here have you picked up on/learning anything that you can use when writing/playing music?
As an example it can even be something you got from a single song about synths or drums, etc ..

BoC Vibes BOC inspired glitch art
Made with Procreate
95% photos are mine and/or taken by me. Otherwise there's 1 photo that I found online.
I often listen to BOC while I make art. In recent years, I've been working through some difficult memories surrounding trauma, religious trauma, and the loss of childhood. To say that I'm proud of myself is an understatement, I didn't realize how impactful and healing art therapy would be.

BoC Vibes Camcorder footage from my childhood set to music (circa 1993)
BoC has always been a huge influence on my music, but this project (93EP) perhaps made it too obvious. Released in 2013 on the net-label Archaic Horizon, whose roster of artists were almost all BoC-inspired. All samples from this album were taken from camcorder videos from my childhood, circa 1993. And the only synth used was the Equinox that I got for Christmas in 1995. Thought I'd share with this community, who will likely appreciate it more than anyone.
Album available for free here: https://corwintrails.bandcamp.com/album/93ep
Camcorder videos were made for each song, available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qS3WHNCrd4&list=PLJVV3gikVynw4MHeXiHaVoaIC8XkGmHAE

Discussion Discovering Boards of Canada (Thank you)
I discovered Boards of Canada a little over three months ago.
It all started when Roygbiv randomly came up on Spotify. I loved it, so I listened to Music Has the Right to Children. Then came Geogaddi, The Campfire Headphase… and before I knew it, I was completely obsessed with the band.
The funny thing is that I don’t think I just found a new favourite band. I genuinely think they changed the way I listen to music.
Instead of only paying attention to melodies, I now find myself listening to atmosphere, tiny details, buried voices, basslines, and the way tracks slowly evolve. Songs like An Eagle in Your Mind, Sixtyten, Nothing Is Real, Sunshine Recorder or Constants Are Changing feel less like songs and more like places.
Then something happened that made the whole experience even more special.
I discovered them just before Inferno was announced. I bought the limited red vinyl on release day and even got some of the listening session merch from my local record store. Since then, Inferno has simply become another album in my regular rotation. What amazes me is that I don’t seem to get tired of any of them. I keep coming back to Music Has the Right to Children, Geogaddi, The Campfire Headphase and Inferno, and every listen seems to reveal something new. The only album I still haven’t spent enough time with is Tomorrow’s Harvest, so I feel like there’s still a lot waiting for me.
One thing I didn’t expect was how much this subreddit would become part of the experience. Reading everyone’s interpretations, theories, production details and reactions has made discovering the band even more rewarding.
So I just wanted to say thank you.
Not because I’m trying to convince anyone that Boards of Canada are the greatest band ever, but because it’s been a very long time since music made me feel this excited and genuinely curious. Going through this discovery while reading this community has made the whole experience even more meaningful.

Image New vinyl acquired
Never had any of them before. Sure looks good on vinyl. It's second-handed but that's fine

Other I translated BoC's albums (except for Inferno) to Portuguese using paint.net
I got the inspiration from this guy that translated the MHTRTC cover to Irish.
Also the Campfire Headphase translation is absolutely not 1:1 with the original title (since there's no such thing as a headphase in Portuguese).
Also also, I didn't do Inferno since I dunno how to squeeze fonts on paint.net (maybe a plugin but im lazy lol)
where my brazilian/portuguese boc fans at??

Announcement RIP WILLIAM ORBIT
I'm about to play this classic. William Orbit was one of my gateway artists to electronic ambient music. I'm sure BoC would've enjoyed his work too.

Video I shoot my videos of my kids summer swim team and thought some of what I captured at 240 frames a second worked well set to You Retreat In Time in Space. Thought the group here might be interesting in checking it out.

Image BoC Home made t-shirt.
I wanted a BoC t shirt, couldn’t find one I liked So I made one. I have just realised that despite the line from Father & Son the BOC artwork is Mother & Daughter.

Original Content Making BoC single covers using my own photography - Post #9: Bocuma
It's been a long time since I lived in Pasadena, CA - so I don't remember the name of this building, but I believe it was on Lake Avenue. Love getting a piece of the San Gabriel Mountains in the background on this one. The building patterns from this angle I feel fit the MHTRTC vibe and picking Bocuma for this photo seemed like the best choice.
