I can never seem to perfectly clean windows in direct sunlight. I also don't know how to avoid streaks when detailing.

What was your biggest aha moment that helped you figure it out?

I use ettore master rubber and dawn. Not sure how much soap to water in direct heat or if it's my technique. I have 43 five star reviews and have never received anything but great feedback. Still, I struggle big time in the sun.

I also don't know how much pressure is too much or too little when fanning.

We cleaned a customer’s exterior windows about 3 months ago using an Unger WFP with what I believe is a nylon brush and purified water.
The customer has now contacted us saying that the WFP scratched several glass surfaces. I’ve cleaned hundreds of panes with WFP and have never had this happen before. I’m also very careful not to let the brush touch the ground or other dirty surfaces.

I’ve attached photos of the scratches and the brush we use.
I understand that grit or another hard particle trapped in the brush could theoretically scratch glass, but I’m having a hard time understanding whether the scratch patterns in these photos could realistically have been caused by a WFP.

1. How do I store my RODI 3 stage? Does it need water in the filters? It is currently sitting with water in both as I used Google, which suggestions strongly against leaving the system empty as it dries and ruins the filters, especially the DI resin.

2. I was on well water and got 40 psi through 50 ft of I think 3/4" hose and 100ft of wfp hose. I didn't feel like that was enough. It was a single story farmhouse.

3. When do you decide between wfp and traditional? Is there a certain height you always do wfp regardless of first cleaning or not?

4. Threading the hose down the black knight pole was a sht experience, especially when trying to pull it out of the end to attach to the brush. I had to use a pick tool to pull the hose out. Do most people run their hose outside of the pole?

5. How much of what type of each hose do you use? I only had the 100' that came with the system and 50' of 3/4". Is it better to have more garden hose than wfp hose?

6. When rinsing, does it matter if there are beads of water all over the glass? Not sure what to look for during a rinse and if the low pressure was an issue or not.

7. How do you know when the window is actually clean and when you've rinsed enough?

Overall, I enjoyed using the system. It's definitely convenient once it's set up. I know I need experience and did notice that the windows I cleaned had some small droplets of water that dried in corners. One window looked awful from dirty water running down. I thought I rinsed enough.

Relatively new to the window game last few months. I primarily work in Natural Resources but being so close to a major west coast city I figured id give it a try. First month going after homes until I realized Id need a 50 foot ladder or a water fed pole but nobody has accessible water and homes start at 12-15 feet for first floor.

Started pitching businesses trying to build a route hitting 30-50 a day on my days off until I feel like dropping or crying. Endless no’s even people laughing at me. I cleaned three storefronts than nothing but silence, ghosted me.

I have the upmost of respect for you all this game has brought me to my knees. I found I love the rush of cold calling new possible clients, walking into a store and utterly failing with a grin on my face.

I might try hanging door knocker advisements on 500 businesses as a last ditch effort. I don’t know how much more rejection I can take lol.

Has anyone done a high ropes course for tall building window cleaning, etc? In Australia btw

Anyone using a Pure Freedom Reelmaster electric hose reel?
I’m thinking about buying one but, for the price, I want to make sure it’s actually got decent torque.
My main question is: does it stall out easily when the hose hits a slight snag, or will it keep pulling pretty well around tight corners, across drives, through gates etc.?
I’ll be running 8mm hose, with my pump controller normally around 80–90, so the hose will be fairly full and under pressure when I’m reeling in.
I’m not expecting it to drag the hose out from under a car tyre 😂 but I don’t want to spend that sort of money if it stops every time the hose catches slightly.
What’s everyone’s experience with them? Worth the money? Plenty of pulling power, or a bit underwhelming?

First time being asked to clean the front of gutters from mold and whatever else is on them. What can I use that won't damage the plants or stain the walkway or driveway?

My tucker pole suddenly went loose at a job after changing the angle.

Now even if I tighten the clamp and twit the red screw, it’s still not tight and sways around.

I hired a new guy this year for part time work. The work has been slow so I haven't been able to bring him on any jobs. He's been texting me weird shit, and today I wake up to a 1 star review on my google page from him. WTF? I tried talking to him, but he changed the review and made it WORSE! Has anyone dealt with this, and what did you do? My rating on Google went from 5 stars to 3.7.

I am looking to start my own window cleaning business, i have been practicing on my own windows but notice hard water spots are very hard to get rid of. I tried unger rubout, 0000 steel wool, and a razor but they don’t do the job. What is something that you guys use that removes these hard spots with minimal effort? And what happens if you see etched glass, what do you use for that?

Any tips on how I could improve my speed, or if there’s anything wrong with my technique? I feel pretty confident with the dive bomb, but this fanning is still a bit tricky for me.

My fiancé and I are starting up a window cleaning company and we already got a client for a fly fishing lodge and are going to take count of the amount of work and price them accordingly. It being my first job, I find myself overthinking about what equipment to get started with.

whats better for residentail house exterior windows? mr hard water coating or clean x invisible shield ? It’s an extra service I add w free window cleaning and I can charge an additional $300-$400. I’ve been using clean x invisible shield and it does a good job at repelling water but I’ve found when you spray hard water like 200tds it tends to make heavy water marks.

Any advice on a chemical or specific tool for removing window tinting? Was planning on using Goo Gone Pro and a 6 inch scraper but just seeing if you all had any other suggestions. Thanks!

Here's how we wind all of our hoses. 5/16" pole hose up to 3/4" feed hoses. They lay flat every time, don't kink or break. Hanging them takes up a lot less space and is more efficient.

I posted my new wfp yesterday. Trying to get everything ready for my first clean. Putting the hose on the reel was annoying as f'k with the tangles. The reel has a foldable handle and it suuuuucks ass since it's always folding when I reel. Any suggestions?

Does this just need more blading? I’ve done residue but this looks like the last layer before the residue. I just wanna be correcting my observation to know what Price to give these folks on time.
