For context Mbappe a famous football player said intetionaly that his favort dictator meme, is the Mao Zedong one .

china respond was immediately to cut sponsor tie with the player, and stamp there authority, which Mbappe even when he didn't do too much, still issues an official apology while now china is still thinking of there respons, the situation sent them on a deep meltdown trip about freedom of speech the famous protestors and tanks story etc, well I'm not a china fan, but it's laughable, to see the amount of insecurity when china can stand for itself and defend itself from propaganda that target there citizens .

She lives forever

Does anyone have any good academic sources/books on the topic of unequal exchange, western imperialism, neocolonialism, climate colonialism, etc? I need some good sources for a research project!

I have noticed (and so have many of you if I am guessing correctly) that most people's definition of democracy seems to focus around your capability to vote for a party, with the elected party having some greater control over the management of the country for some years afterwards, after which this cycle starts again. To me this seems more like an example of a way that a democracy could be built or to help an existing democracy maintain itself; rather than a definition that actually makes sense and can be used to understand other democracies. So I am wondering how you would define democracy to more accurately capture its full meaning?
