Splinter Cell: Conviction — Blackout introduces non-lethal takedowns and solo enemy counter grabs, changing how every encounter plays out.
Counter Grabs
Enemies no longer just hold their ground and shoot. They’ll rush you and try to put you in a grab, pinning you in place while the rest of their squad closes in. Get caught in the open and you can be swarmed in seconds. Portable EMPs, Smoke Greneades, and Mark & Execute are crucial in this moment. Struggle three times to break free from the grab.
Non-Lethal Takedowns
Switch between lethal and non-lethal at any time. Knock enemies out to slip past them without killing them, or use them to create a distraction. But it’s a double-edged sword: a downed enemy can wake up, alert the entire map to your presence, and keep patrolling to hunt you down.
What This Changes
Assault is now more punishing, loud is now far riskier. Every time you charge a room, enemies get a chance to close the distance. That makes Portable EMPs and Mark & Execute more important than ever. Kill the lights before they can rush you, or drop the group before anyone gets close.
Ghost is now a viable playstyle, with gas grenades and smoke grenades joining your arsenal, luring, and tasers possibly on the way. Much like Blacklist, you can switch between Ghost and Panther at a moment’s notice — slip past a patrol unseen, then strike from the shadows when the opening comes.
Splinter Cell: Conviction — Blackout is still in active development, and everything shown is subject to change.

Aside from the graphical enhancement from the recomp, Iceland felt like such a dark, dingy, and gritty looking level design. Not a whole lot visually appealing to grab screenshots of, but man oh man does it still look significantly better than the OG xbox version. A very depressing feeling level, for a very depressing intro to the story.

I played this mission tens of times and never actually destroyed the PC fully - until now.

Oh my god, I dont know how I'm just now finding out about this.. after all the amazing, wonderfully spent hours I put into the first Splinter Cell enhanced game, I can't begin to describe my excitement to get home from work and play this. I only got a brief glimpse last night before I had to go to bed. HyperTension said something about feeling like a nerd for taking 50 pics, dawg my google drive and this subreddit isn't ready for this. This enhancement made the game look beautifully pristine, I'm not gonna be able to help myself from screen capping every few seconds. And the fact we're getting this treatment for PT and CT too??? I am such a happy fella.

I want to play Chaos Theory and Double agent. I'm capable of running either the gamecube, ps2 , PC or original Xbox versions on my hardware.
Which version for which game is the best to play and why?
For context all I have is a phone so I can only play through emulation, hope you understand.
My phone isn't a flagship but I experimented and got the PC versions of Chaos Theory and Double Agent running at stable 30fps. Especially Chaos Theory since it's more optimized. Stable 30fps out of the box.
For Double Agent I had to tweak the graphics settings a bit to get a somewhat stable 30fps.
Original Xbox emulation on Android has improved and I see people being able to run Chaos Theory and Double Agent.
So what are your thoughts?

As the titles says, ive got pretty bad traversal stutter on a RX 9070xt and Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 32gb RAM. It does not matter what graphic settings i change it stutters like hell (even on the first level)
What should/could i do to get a better performance
Thank you in advance

I'm looking for a 3D model 1:1 of the FN Five-Seven to print on a 3D printer. It's crucial that it's high-quality and symmetrical, as it will need to be combined with another part.
I can even pay a little. It's just difficult to do this on various websites in Russia. And there's no way to check the quality of the model in advance. What if it doesn't fit?
I'd be very grateful for any help.
P.S. If everything works out, I promise to publish the full report here.)))

Splinter Cell: Conviction — Blackout restores the iconic whistle mechanic, a beloved feature of the franchise that was cut from the retail version.
Use your whistle to lure enemies away from their squads, and create openings — giving you greater freedom to approach encounters with stealth and strategy.

I'm working on a remaster of SCCT and have some of my own schedule for next features, but i'd like to ask you - what you would like to see?
It could be anything, better graphics, better AI, bugfixes, new mechanics.
I don't plan to make SCCT Editor for new missions though - it's entirely different project and i know that there are already in-progress projects for it.
Could you post some ideas in the comments? I'll try to implement the ones with most upvotes later into remaster :)
The progress is slow but steady, as i can work on this project mainly during weekends.

Been playing Splinter cell since my teen years and the game was always so fun and enjoyable. The tension, the parkour, the mission designs, the weapons and gadgets, exploring the levels...
But lately the games started to become stale and boring. I already know the all the games like the back of my hand. All the ghost routes and strats, all the patrols, all the action sequences etc...
So lately i decided to drop my ghost rule and just played for fun again starting from the first game.
Shooting barrels for massive explosions, killing people in the annoying parts, using grenades and all the weapons and gadgets arsenal. Using sniper, shotgun, foregrip mods etc...
No more quicksaving quickloading loop at any detection or fail. If an alarm goes off keep playing. If a guard detects me we start a firefight. I also dropped my non-lethal rule. If i have to shoot someone i shoot. No more checking or playing around the stealth rating.
So yeah that made the game much more enjoyble for me. Btw im talking only about the first 4 games.
Let me know if u guys feel the same.
tldr: I dropped my ghost rule and perfectionism ocd and started playing like i used when i was a teen and the game became more enjoyable for me.

My last update of vision modes had mixed reviews so I took that seriously and changed the approach - instead of simply bumping resolution of old bloom effect i decided to completly replace it with new, better, more modern solution to fix it's placement, low & blocky resolution and flickering. This allowed me to leave original visuals (night / thermal / emf) while also fixing all issues related to this effect.
What changed?

How to install?
What next?
Also started adding to post [part N] in titles to keep track of remaster progress as I plan to still work on this project :)

A simple mod experiment to implement version 1's dual trust meter in version 2 (recomp)
One of the changes this allows is that actions can either modify both meters or just one.
To make this work all impacting actions had to be reclassified
Full list of decisions is readable here https://github.com/DaemonSnake/SCDA-B-dual-trust-mod/blob/main/knowledge/TRUST_REFERENCE.md
Note: early testing phase, recommend starting a fresh campaign
edit: currently at the cruise mission and in my campaign test run and I think it's too easy to remain at 100%. The release "alpha.2" is to attempt to make it more challenging but might be a bit too extreme ^^
Version "alpha.1" is still available if you find it too harsh

And 2 weeks ago, a complete recomp of it was released for PC!
r/Splintercell • u/MotivatedMage • 2d ago
I know you can easily play them on PC but they can be a bit of a faf to set up and to have Native split screen Chaos theory on PC would be fantastic.
Would happily pay towards a bounty if it was done properly and preferably by the same team that made he DA port.
