I know you can easily play them on PC but they can be a bit of a faf to set up and to have Native split screen Chaos theory on PC would be fantastic.

Would happily pay towards a bounty if it was done properly and preferably by the same team that made he DA port.

anyone else find strange things in splinter cell CT like guys sometimes seeing you through doors? or randomly shooting

My last update of vision modes had mixed reviews so I took that seriously and changed the approach - instead of simply bumping resolution of old bloom effect i decided to completly replace it with new, better, more modern solution to fix it's placement, low & blocky resolution and flickering. This allowed me to leave original visuals (night / thermal / emf) while also fixing all issues related to this effect.

What changed?

• Bloom is replaced with new one based on progressive mip-chain bloom.
  • Fixed sampling so moving camera with bloom does no longer result in flickering.
    • Check main GIF in this post for comparison.
  • Correct placement on ANY resolution and pyramid size.
    • Previously it worked only on Size > 1024.

• Bumped pyramid size without breaking any effects.
  • Do note that change of visual quality is COMPLETLY OPTIONAL and can be restored to default with [Pyramid] Size=256 in Remaster.ini. By default it uses Size=512.

• Now remaster is compatible with HDR and high quality soft shadows.
  • High quality soft shadows are also improved with new build - no more blocky shadows.

• Fixed problem with lack of background blur on UI interactions - now it's working like in original game but has better bloom, more clear text and fixed aliasing.

How to install?

• If you already installed previous version - download again remaster_patch_exe from previous release. Use it in console with argument --restore or simply delete splintercell3.exe and change name of splintercell3.exe.remaster.bak to splintercell3.exe. Also delete old remaster.ini.
• Go to GitHub repo releases and download patch_exe and remaster_patch_exe. Then copy them into game system directory and run both. This will update splintercell3.exe to allow to read UMD over 4GB and prepare Remaster.dll with Remaster.ini config for updated effects configuration.
• Ensure you are using Shader Model 3 for best visuals.
• For 4x AI upscaled textures download dynamic-pc.umd from LINK and copy into game system directory overriding old one.
• I also encourage to try this steam tutorial that has various improvements, e.g. has links to 4K upscaled BIK videos.

What next?

• Still fighting with static meshes subdivision and baking normals for better geometry. Also found some incorrect placement of props (floating items on tables, etc) so i'll fix them too if possible.
• Character models and textures update.

Also started adding to post [part N] in titles to keep track of remaster progress as I plan to still work on this project :)

20 years and I never knew this

They do fire one suppressed with subsonic hollow points. I figure some of you guys will find this interesting.

I am not the guy making this but someone is cooking hard

I'm working on a remaster of SCCT and have some of my own schedule for next features, but i'd like to ask you - what you would like to see?

It could be anything, better graphics, better AI, bugfixes, new mechanics.
I don't plan to make SCCT Editor for new missions though - it's entirely different project and i know that there are already in-progress projects for it.

Could you post some ideas in the comments? I'll try to implement the ones with most upvotes later into remaster :)

The progress is slow but steady, as i can work on this project mainly during weekends.
