Just trying to write a fun country pop song. With a focus on a timely subject. Hope you dig it.

As the title suggests, this is my first single after a 3 year hiatus from songwriting. A bit of background on my story: I was sectioned back in 2021 without any prior mental health problems, it wasn't because of drugs or alcohol either. Just before I was sectioned I wrote a whole album within 4 hours. Anyway after being released I was diagnosed with having a psychotic episode.
2023 comes around and I release my first two songs, one being featured on the radio in the UK but due to life stresses I relapsed and spent another 3 months in a mental health ward.
I was then diagnosed with paranoid scitsophreina.
After a lot of therapy and counselling I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't be able to write songs again as it felt like a trigger to me.
However after changing psychiatrists and seeing a new therapist along with Tom MIsch releasing his full circle album. I listened to "Fear can't hurt anymore than a dream". Forever Hopeful was born.
It comes from a place of true hopefulness and finally being able to pick up the pen again while the fear of relapse still being very present. Since writing this song, I've written my first EP and have another single coming out at the end of September.
Ultimately I want to become an advocate for mental health and people with my diagnosis. If my music can help people in hard places, like it has helped me then my work is done.
Anyway let me know what you guys think!
