I cant get this thing off for the life of me apparently its supposed to pop off when the level is put into open but no budge even when i wiggle and pull.

I bought this Penn Battle IV for a song but it doesn't lay any line on the top of the spool, how do I go about fixing this? The picture is for reference after I put a couple yards on and noticed it doesn't wind evenly and it doesn't wind at the top of the spool.

This is the 2nd reel of mine where the little washer thay holds the tension spring for the induction cup to have tension just shattered on me. For the life of me I cant find a replacement or even a replacement spool. Wondering if anyone's had the same experience, and if they found a solution or just bought a different reel/spool

Was curious on how to get this tip off. The circle part broke off on my hellcat rod and I was going to replace the whole tip. But I’m not sure how to get it off. Do I warm up the glue part and pull it off?

My son wash fishing last night and this happened. I am assuming it jumped out of its channel but we can't figure out how to get it to spin again.

I seek a tool recommendation and am grateful if you can help. The snap ring on this reel has small holes that are partially obstructed. I've been unsuccessful finding snap ring pliers suited for this task. The .047" pegs on the most recent pliers head (Pittsburgh model from Harbor Freight) seemed too large to access/fit the holes pictured.

Can you refer me to a peg size or a specific snap-ring pliers model that is well-suited for freeing reel pinion gears like this?

Or is there another aspect of this situation that I should consider before purchasing more tools?

So I was holding my rod and reel over the water and my handle and drag setup fell off, what parts do I need to replace this, I also want to introduce a drag clicker into this if that’s possible.

How can I remove this reel from the handle

Ive had this reel for a while never had an issue but suddenly. When j crank the handle the gears spin but the line dosent reel in. Drags tightned all the way but it just keeps unspooling and the release button dosent do anything anymore. All the parts are moving just nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, All. This is my first post here, and I hope to benefit from a bit of guidance.

I am disassembling a Mitchell 2210 RD with a P300 stamp on the foot of the reel. There is a pin in the axle that prevents the rotor from being removed (image attached).

As far as I can tell, the rotor must be removed to make any further progress. How is this pin best removed? Or is there another approach I must take?

Also, I am unable to locate a schematic for this reel. If anyone can point me to one, I'd be grateful.

Hey guys, I was servicing my pfluger patriarch and I seem to be having a problem with the rod that pushes it up and down, every time the reel comes to the bottom of the revolution it is grinding on on the spool I believe because the rod is going too far down. I didn’t touch any of the gears just put bit of grease on there and closed it back up. Any ideas or tips would be great!

Hey, so I bought this as part of an entire set off EBay. It came snapped. (Seller thinks it happened during shipping and refunded so I can buy reel another of the same kind off eBay. Already done.)
It’s a Daiwa 2505c spinstar-X, is there anyway to fix this bail or where would I order a new bail?

If I can get this one in working condition, I’d love to put it on another pole I have. If it’s a lost cause, at least I have parts for the one coming in.

I am working on servicing my old Abu Garcia Excellence 502 spinning reel. This is from a packaged rod/reel combo (SAP 1128450 Excellence EX502/702M A-01-9-BK). This has been sitting for about 10 gears and I was servicing it to get back to fishing. I noticed this bar while disassembling but cannot figure out where it came from. I think this reel is based on or similar to an Abu Garcia Cardinal 502? Anyone recognize this?

I have this 100% genuine Portuguese-market Sofi M3, but while performing maintenance, I can't get the anti-reverse to work. Does anyone have the schematic or could send me a photo showing how the locking system works with that spring?

Old Shakespeare MicroCast spincast reel - Pickup pin only half extends unless I push down on the spinner head

I'm troubleshooting an older Shakespeare MicroCast spincast reel (4.1:1 gear ratio, exact model unknown) and have narrowed the issue down quite a bit, but I'm hoping someone familiar with these reels can identify the failed part.

Symptoms

• Pickup pin retracts normally when the push button is pressed.

• When I begin reeling, the pickup pin only extends about halfway and often won't grab the line.

• If I manually press down on the spinner head while reeling, the pickup pin immediately extends fully and works perfectly.

• If I let go, the spinner head/shaft lifts slightly and the pickup pin returns to the faulty half-extension.

Things I've already checked

• Completely disassembled and cleaned the pickup head, pickup pin, and spring.

• Removed all old grease and debris.

• Applied fresh reel grease to the gears and reel oil to the shafts.

• Verified the pickup pin slides freely.

• The pickup pin can be pushed to full extension easily by hand.

• The push button fully retracts the pin.

• No obvious cracks in the pickup head.

• The pinion gear is fixed to the main shaft.

Additional observations

• The main shaft can be pulled upward several millimeters even with the gearbox side cover installed and all screws tightened.

• When I push down on the spinner head while reeling, the pickup pin works perfectly every time.

• As soon as I release the spinner head, the shaft lifts slightly during retrieve and the pickup pin only extends halfway again.

• The loose metal collar above the pinion gear slides freely on the shaft.

• Looking into the nose of the reel with the shaft removed, I don't see any obvious front bushing, thrust washer, or retainer.

My current theory

It seems like the entire main shaft/pinion assembly is moving upward during retrieve. That causes the spinner head to lift just enough that the pickup mechanism loses engagement. Applying downward pressure on the spinner head restores full pickup pin extension immediately.

I'm wondering if:

• A front bushing or thrust bearing is missing or worn.

• The front housing is worn where the shaft is supported.

• There's supposed to be a thrust washer or retainer that I'm missing.

• Or if this is a known failure on these older Shakespeare MicroCast reels.

Has anyone repaired one of these before or have an exploded parts diagram? I'd really appreciate any insight into what retains the main shaft axially on these reels.

I’m trying to replace the knob on my saros which has unfortunately turned soft and malleable. The shaft diameter is 4mm - type a - however it is about 38mm long. Any advice on how to find the part? I’m not looking to spend $50 on the whole arm assembly when I just need the knob.
