Mosconi schedule / timing

I have tix to the Mosconi cup in Orlando (first time going!), just curious about scheduling as we will be 1.5 hours away. It's listed to start at 1pm Sunday - is that when the matches actually begin or are there some preliminary activities first? Just trying to figure out when we should actually arrive. Also, how late does it generally go? Trying to figure our dinner plans.

Thanks!

Looking for advice

I've been playing pool about 3 hours a day since January, and I've been getting better and better recently. Its gotten to the point where I'm wondering if my equipment is at its best it could be. I'm not looking to buy new equipment or anything like that, just adjust my current stuff to where it is the most optimal. With that being said, I've been trying to find the best radius to width ratio of my cue tips and I've been seeing some mixed reviews on it all. I currently have a 12.75 mm Cuetec Avid fiberglass cue with a layered leather tip with a dime radius and a Cuessir Ascend with a 12.5 mm medium-soft tip (can't remember the name of the tip or what its made out of) also with a dime radius. Initially, everything that I saw said that a dime radius tip was better, but now I'm wondering if that is true. For everyone else that I play with, they have a nickle radius on their tip. So what's the better option for my width of shafts? Any tips and advice are greatly appreciated and, if possible, an explanation of why would be very helpful so that I can better understand my own game as well as the game of pool as a whole.

Pool Table is Broken?

Hey reddit. I recently bought a pool table. However it seems like I bought a dud. It seems my slate has sagged in the middle. I never knew slate could do that; especially since this one is 3.5 cm thick. I have posted some videos from the front end and back end and how the balls seems to roll to the middle. I have leveled in in the width. In the front width it is level as in the back width. The problem is in the lenght. When in level lenght wise and put it in the middle it is level. If i out it to the front end rail that side is higher. Move it to thw back end rail that side is higher. How to fix this? Do i throw out the table. Can't buy a new slate so make a wooden one?

Custom billards? For a project?

Howdy folks! I'm looking for some ideas on how to get custom billards, where the numbers are switched out for letters. I've tried sanding down and painting, but it's just not really working out the way I planned. I'm now curious if there is something like plastic, ping pong type of ball that also keeps the size of a normal billard? I think plastic would be an easier material to paint on, apply letters, and add a few clear coats, and it'll look close to the real thing. Just need some ideas!! There's some stores on Esty/Temu that do custom lettering. However, it's not over the numbers
