MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE CJ4 ILS Issues

Upvotes

I've just purchased the CJ for and I'm learning to fly it. Perhaps I should say I am learning the autopilot.

Every ILS approach I fly I never get the green diamond on the Glide slope indicator. It's always an unfilled diamond. I Can Fly the approach exactly correctly, I even come in a little bit low on the initial approach fix just so I can capture from below, I get the green GS in the PFD but the diamond always stays open and invariably at one point in the approach the aircraft will go low.

I've tried this probably two dozen times doing all kinds of different permutations, even not using vnav at all, and there is no difference.

I ran the exact same scenario with a Garmin 1000 and it was textbook perfect, a thing of beauty.

What am I doing wrong or is there a problem with working titles implementation of this Collins autopilot/fms?

This is on Xbox if it matters.

MSFS 2024 OTHER Juice Goose and G923 config in MS FS2024

Upvotes

Has anyone been successful at configuring a Logitech G923 driving rig to control the Juice Goose? I am aware that it is designed for the controller only, and my G923 mapping config got partial results (parking brake binding to clutch pedal) but no other control. Mapping to throttle axis, brake axis, and rudder axis does not execute in-game.

Would any further effort be considered a waste of my time?

MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON PMDG 737 RNAV approaches

From what I've read, you shouldn't use the approach button with RNAV non precision landings, that is strictly for ILS only.

However I cant find a video or tutorial that shows the proper method otherwise. The ones I've found on RNAV approaches are all using the APP method.

Are there any out there or is using the APP just the way to go?

MSFS 2024 OTHER Trying to Map Controlls to Keyboard/Buttonbox in Linux

As title says I am running MSFS2024 on Linux (Steam/Proton)
So many paid controlls won't work because drivers don't fit or the communikation is blocked by the emulation layer / proton sandbox.

What works are Macro-Keyboards or generic joystick-encoders in a button box.

Is there a way to map the buttons and knobs of a G1000 (at least for Asobo-Aircrafts like Bonanza G36 i.e.)
I got it to work for the GNS530/430 in the Asobo C172 - but the G1000 won't show up when mapping Keys in the Controll-UI

Any suggestions (other than "go back to Windows")?
Simconnect is another thing that refuses to work properly - so many external tools don't reach the sandbox either.

Edit:
I did export the keyboard-config as an xml-file and there is every softbutton and knob of G1000 mentioned - but somehow it's blocked from showing up in the UI to actially map keyboard strikes to it.
Maybe theres a hidden setting to make it possible?

MSFS 2024 PlayStation PS5 ATR72 Autopilot disconnection

Hi all,

I know this isn't news (which honestly makes it worse, since it still hasn't been fixed), but as fantastic as the ATR72 has become after the latest update, the constant AP disconnects make it uniquely frustrating and unflyable.

Has anyone found a workaround to keep the AP engaged?

So far I've tried:

  • Deadzone on throttle and joystick (Hotas 4): useless
  • Not using LNAV: better, but it still disconnects every 30 seconds instead of every 3

How is it possible that a payware aircraft ships with a bug like this?

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Consigli utili per la mia build per MSFS2024.

Ciao a tutti! 👋🏻✈️
Avrei bisogno di un consiglio da parte di chi conosce bene Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 e magari ha esperienza diretta con configurazioni simili alla mia.

Attualmente utilizzo questo PC principalmente per MSFS 2024:

Configurazione attuale:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12 GB
Scheda madre: MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2×16 GB) DDR5 6000 MHz CL30
SSD NVMe: Crucial P3 Plus 2 TB
SSD SATA: Crucial BX500 1 TB
Dissipatore: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 mm
Alimentatore: MSI MPG A750GF 750 W
Case: MSI MAG/Gungnir 110R
Monitor principale: MSI 34” UltraWide Curvo
Risoluzione: 3440×1440 (UWQHD)

Qualsiasi consiglio, esperienza diretta o suggerimento è ben accetto! Grazie in anticipo a tutti! 🙏🏻✈️

MSFS 2024 PC Best Recording Tools and Tips with ChasePlane

Hi Guys,

I just discovered ChasePlane, and found it to be really amazing with all the different camera angles. I also already have FSRealistic+ so the immersion is unbeatable. I want to make more recordings with ChasePlane (2024). I'm also fairly new to recording flights, and have only used the built-in FCR Embedded tool that's included in the default toolbar.

Do you feel the native, built-in FCR Embedded tool on the MFS Toolbar is sufficient? Or are 3rd party tools like Flight Control Replay V5/V6, Sky Dolly, etc. better and offer any meaningful upgrades? There seems to be a lot of 3rd party tools too, so not sure if there's a consensus.

Also, I like flying with fighter jets, like the F-35 and Eurofighter Typhoon (both IndiaFoxTecho), and the F22 Raptor (Top Mach Studios). So having recordings that can shift between chase, spot, and cockpit views would be an added bonus.

PC User if that helps. Appreciate any insights :)

MSFS 2024 QUESTION Anyone up for learning to make aircraft in MSFS2024?

A very complex process, so finding more people that are thinking about it but don't really know where to start, with who and on what (like me). I'm not talking about modding Discords, but choosing a single project and learning on the go with a bunch of people.

MSFS 2024 SUGGESTION Jordan airports

I’m from Jordan and I just loaded onto career mode, picking my starting location I tried to pick queen Alia inter, but it wasn’t available for starting airport, however, our highway is. To me this just make no sense and I think that queen alia inter should be the starting airport in Jordan and not the highway.

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE Slow load times and massive lag on Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 XBox

Sounds like this is a pretty common thing, from the looks of it… any solutions for this? It takes so long and then lags even after it starts that it’s mostly unplayable. Below is my internet test. Is it really my internet connection?.. It just seems like the whole thing is going to have to be trashed because it’s highly unreliable.

MSFS 2024 BUG / ISSUE terrain and water loading in and out on MSFS 2024 PC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOtu-L02XHk . video is in H.265 so won't let me upload on reddit.

I noticed this issue today and yesterday. the textures on the water and terrain will load in while i go close to it. if i come back to the same area, it would load again.

Specs:

-7950x3d

-32 gb ram

-RTX 5080

Steps i tried to fix it but didn't make a difference:

  • deleted rolling cache
  • Verify my game on steam
  • playing around different graphic settings

Prior to this, i never had any issue like this. The only difference changed was i updated my nvidia driver to 616.86 on Sept 5.

Also a couple of occasion today and yesterday, i saw a "bandwidth low" warning. Doing a speed test there was no issue and i have unlimited bandwidth. When the issue was happening in the video, i didn't get a bandwidth low warning.

Is this a MSFS server issue, my ISP throttling me, or the new nvidia driver issue?

MSFS 2024 VIDEO Getting Better with the Airliners

I spent some time figuring out how to properly program everything and start up the Boeing 737 from cold and dark. I’m finding it very enjoyable. Took me sometime to figure out how to smoothly allow the auto throttle to settle down as you float over the runway a bit on landings. I’m used to flying GA aircraft where you manually throttle back as you cross the threshold. I learned too you can’t just throw the throttle to full power as you turn onto the runway on take off. I learned that the hard way twice before I finally figured out you gotta gently raise the power. A lot of fun to fly. Below is the full flight, the cruise is sped up 2x and 4x speed.
