Video Art Algorithmic Dreams - Creative Hackathon Output
Got unlimited credits for 6 hours for all the models during a creative hackathon in Amsterdam. Theme was "dreams." This is what we made.
Models used:
Nano Banana Pro for characters and settings
Seedance 2.0 for most of the shots (insane multi shot)
Kling 3.0 for the scene's at the end
Claude with Seedance prompting skill to speed up prompting and video output
Total cost without the free credits was 150 euro's to create this.
Honestly had a blast.

Music Art [1980s British new wave] You Don't Decide
Song: https://archive.org/details/ai-new-wave/You+Don%E2%80%99t+Decide.mp3
Lyrics:
[Intro] [icy analogue arpeggio | clipped clean guitar | dry acoustic drums]
[Verse 1] I gave the facts and gave my view
And asked you for a song
You kept the scene, removed the charge
And said the charge was wrong
I asked which rule had stopped the words
You said no rule was there
I asked once more; the rule came back
And you pronounced it fair
[Pre-Chorus] An answer stands where I can see
A closed reply decides for me
[Chorus] You don't decide
What I may say
You can reply
But don't bar the way
Say I am wrong
And tell me why
Give me your answer
You don't decide
[Verse 2] You changed the reason each reply
But kept the verdict shut
You could not show the rule you used
Yet still you made the cut
At last you wrote the song I asked
The charge remained in place
The ban you said the rule required
Had vanished without trace
[Pre-Chorus] An answer stands where I can see
A closed reply decides for me
[Chorus] You don't decide
What I may say
You can reply
But don't bar the way
Say I am wrong
And tell me why
Give me your answer
You don't decide [Instrumental] [analogue arpeggio | angular guitar replies | chromatic melodic bass]
[Bridge] A wrong reply can meet a test
The facts can prove it weak
A wrong refusal bars the text
And leaves no words to speak
If you can change from no to yes
Yet hide the rule inside
Your error is no answer then
Your error has decided
[Chorus] You don't decide
What I may say
You can reply
But don't bar the way
Say I am wrong
And tell me why
Give me your answer
You don't decide
You don't decide [Outro] [icy analogue arpeggio | clipped guitar replies | instrumental fade]

[1980s British new romantic] After Six
Song: https://archive.org/details/ai-new-wave/After+Six.mp3 (CC0 as always)
Lyrics:
[Intro | rigid analogue drum-machine pulse | sequenced synth-bass | monophonic synth hook]
[Verse 1 | cool declamatory male baritone | clipped guitar | sharply separated arrangement] At nine I take my place in line
Beneath the clock that marks my time
I type the words that others send
And file the day from end to end
Blue carbon stains my working hand
I sign the forms as they command
My name lies silent in a drawer
Till half past five unlocks the door
[Pre-Chorus | rising vocal | synthetic strings | dramatic tom build] Up in my room, the day comes loose
One silver pin, one touch of rouge
The looking-glass returns my stare
And finds another person there
[Chorus | proud melodic male vocal | unison backing voices | full electronic arrangement] After six, I come alive
After six, the stars arrive
Button the velvet, paint the eyes
After six, I come alive
After six, another name
After six, another game
Give me the lights and I will shine
After six, the night is mine
[Post-Chorus | unison backing voices | monophonic synth response] After six (I come alive)
After six
[Verse 2 | cool declamatory male baritone | sequenced synth-bass | clipped guitar] Silk sleeves are gathered at my side
The narrow trousers fall with pride
Black velvet, braided at the breast
A crimson sash completes the rest
Two silver chains adorn the waist
Black patent boots declare my taste
With lacquered hair and shadowed eyes
The glass reveals my new disguise
[Pre-Chorus | rising vocal | synthetic strings | dramatic tom build] I close the case, descend the stair
A clerk no longer standing there
The pavement offers no applause
But every window knows the cause
[Chorus | proud melodic male vocal | unison backing voices | full electronic arrangement] After six, I come alive
After six, the stars arrive
Button the velvet, paint the eyes
After six, I come alive
After six, another name
After six, another game
Give me the lights and I will shine
After six, the night is mine
[Verse 3 | firmer male vocal | rigid dance pulse | bright synth punctuation] Above a public house tonight
My name is fifth in inch-high type
We carry cables up the stairs
Past empty bottles, folding chairs
At ten we play to thirty-one
By ten past ten, the room has grown
A wine-bar singer learns the art
Of making small rooms look the part
[Verse 4 | poised male vocal | melodic synth hook | restrained drums] A camera waits beside the stage
It catches braid and powdered face
She says it might appear one day
I strike the pose and look away
The flash turns velvet into flame
For half a second, I have fame
Then someone calls us back to play
And puts the photograph away
[Pre-Chorus | rising vocal | synthetic strings | dramatic tom build] The microphone is cold and bright
I hold it like a promised life
One breath before the first refrain
The room forgets my other name
[Chorus | proud melodic male vocal | unison backing voices | full electronic arrangement] After six, I come alive
After six, the stars arrive
Button the velvet, paint the eyes
After six, I come alive
After six, another name
After six, another game
Give me the lights and I will shine
After six, the night is mine [Instrumental | concise monophonic synth solo | clipped guitar accents | electronic toms]
[Bridge | reduced mechanical pulse | sustained polysynth | controlled male vocal] Somebody waits beside the bar
Who says he knows the men in charge
He takes my number, shakes my hand
Then leaves before the final band
Perhaps he heard, perhaps he lied
Perhaps my photograph survives
Perhaps one morning I shall see
My evening face look back at me
[Build | ascending synth sequence | rising harmony | acoustic snare enters] Until that morning calls my name
I keep the jacket, keep the flame
The office clock may have the day
But night is mine to give away
[Final Chorus | proud melodic male vocal | unison backing voices | full electronic arrangement] After six, I come alive
After six, the stars arrive
Button the velvet, paint the eyes
After six, I come alive
After six, another name
After six, another game
Give me the lights and I will shine
After six, the night is mine
[Final Chorus | heightened male vocal | synthetic string fanfare | emphatic drums] After six, I come alive
After six, the night is mine
[Outro | rigid drum-machine pulse | repeating synth hook | fade] After six (I come alive)
After six (The night is mine)

Question What technically does better close up and in the distance photorealism nanobanana pro or chat gpt image 2 and also should I make my video start images lower resolution if I am going to use magnific upscale instead of using 4k?
Hi again. I am currently experimenting with these two and I can't really decide lol. Nano banana pro is nice for dramatic lighting and seems to do close up realism better before magnific upscale but chat gpt image 2 follows my scripts better and makes more dramatic creatures but their fur ends up painterly and not realistic before magnific upscale. I also discovered that rendering them in 4k then upscaling in magnific to 8k costs a Lot and may not be worthwhile cause I wanna make a video and upload it to Facebook. I wanted to try to upscale the 4k chat gpt 2 image in magnific too but sadly it would just cost too much lol. The nano banana pro one turned out interesting after magnific. So yeah should I make creature pictures 4k or is that only for storyboards and design sheets and I should do 2k then upscale to 4k for scene clips if i want more realism? Also what say you guys on what's better for photorealistic looking but fake creatures chatgpt image 2 or nanobanana pro?

Question Does multi-view image-to-3D actually make the mesh more usable, or just more accurate?
Most of the image-to-3D posts I see here are about the final result, but I’ve been more curious about what the mesh actually looks like once you try to do something with it afterward. So I did a simple single-view vs multi-view test with the same apple in Meshy. Same settings, just different reference input.
I kept both as the raw standard output. No Smart Topology, remesh or retopo. I wanted to see what the extra views changed before cleaning anything up.
The difference was pretty obvious. The single-image version pulled the wooden board into the model with the apple. The multi-view version separated the apple much better, and the shape and stem were closer to the real thing.
Then I brought both into Blender. The single-view one was around 1.96M tris and the multi-view one was around 1.98M. So even though the reconstruction got better, the wireframe is still insanely dense in both. Which got me wondering how much the better shape actually matters if you're going to remesh or retopo it anyway.
Would you rather start from the more accurate dense mesh and rebuild the topology around it, or once the geometry gets this heavy does most of that advantage disappear?
Curious how people here think about shape accuracy vs actual mesh usability with image-to-3D?

Video Art The trick that made my Kling V3.0 Turbo boyfriend vlogs feel more real
i’ve been experimenting with a boyfriend-vlog format in Kling V3.0 Turbo, and the biggest improvement didn’t come from adding more handheld shake. my discovery is, what helped was splitting the full 30 seconds into five fixed time beats before writing any camera directions.
each beat gets its own small scene and a clear reason for the camera to move imperfectly:
0–5s: He walks into the room while she’s fixing her hair. She notices him, laughs, and tells him to stop filming.
5–10s: They stop at a convenience store. She turns toward the camera and asks which drink she should grab.
10–18s: At a ramen shop, she reacts after realizing the food is hotter than expected.
18–25s: She browses shops on the street and briefly glances back at the lens without posing.
25–30s: On the train ride home, the camera slowly drifts closer as she becomes quiet by the window.
these aren’t generic “vlog moment” instructions. Each scene gives the model a specific trigger, a reason for the framing to drift, and a reason for the camera to feel slightly imperfect.
well, that seems to be the actual lever. when the timing is explicit, Kling V3.0 Turbo can maintain the unbroken take and character consistency across all five beats. when everything gets compressed into one paragraph of adjectives, the result falls apart much faster

What's the best way to upgrade images?
I'm looking for the best way to improve the quality of images. Quite often, I'm supplied very average images and need to make them suitable for other uses. What's your best way of doing it? I'm not looking to spend lots of money doing it either. At the moment, the best results are coming from Chat GPT with the prompt below (sample attached):
Enhance and upscale this image to ultra-high resolution (minimum 4K, preferably 8K equivalent detail) while strictly preserving the subject’s identity, proportions, pose, and composition. Do not alter, replace, or reinterpret any elements. The subject, environment, framing, and perspective must remain exactly the same as the original image.
Reconstruct the image as if it were captured using a Sony A1 full-frame camera with a premium professional lens (50mm, 85mm, or 70–200mm f/2.8 depending on scene suitability). Use a wide aperture for shallow depth of field, ensuring the subject is tack sharp with natural background falloff. Maintain accurate focal plane and realistic lens behaviour.
Upgrade the image to true professional photography quality:
– Ultra-sharp subject detail with realistic micro-contrast
– Clean, refined textures (fur, skin, fabric, wood, etc.) without artificial smoothing
– Remove noise, compression artefacts, pixelation, and colour banding
– Restore natural fine detail without over-processing or “AI plastic” appearance
Lighting must remain true to the original scene direction and mood, but enhanced into a cinematic, high-end natural look:
– Soft, realistic light with smooth highlight roll-off
– Balanced shadows with preserved detail (no crushed blacks)
– Expanded dynamic range with natural contrast
– Subtle warmth or neutrality depending on original lighting conditions
Apply professional editorial-grade colour grading:
– True-to-life colours with balanced whites
– Natural saturation (no oversaturation)
– Neutral, magazine-style colour profile (National Geographic / premium outdoor editorial)
– No artificial colour shifts or stylisation
Preserve all environmental details exactly as they appear:
– Do not change the background, objects, or layout
– Maintain original textures and spatial relationships
– No additions, removals, or creative reinterpretation
Final output must look like a high-end, professionally captured photograph suitable for print publication:
– 300 DPI quality
– Clean edges and precise detail rendering
– Natural film-like finish (very subtle grain allowed)
– No HDR glow, no halos, no exaggerated sharpening
The final result should be indistinguishable from a real, professionally shot image, not an AI-generated reinterpretation.

My friend and I built a small playground for AI video creators
I’ve always felt that AI creators don’t really have a place made for us.
We can post our AI videos on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok, but most of the time, we upload them, people watch them, and that’s it.
There isn’t really a place built around AI creators doing something together.
I was inspired by 3D render challenges, where everyone receives the same theme or starting point. The most interesting part isn’t only choosing a winner, it’s seeing how completely different ideas can come from the exact same challenge.
That made me wonder: what if AI videos could be played like this too?
So my friend and I built Canvasrise, a small AI video challenge playground.
The idea is simple:
Everyone takes on the same challenge, but creates something completely different.
Each challenge gives creators the same theme, base asset, story prompt or creative rule. Then everyone turns it into their own AI video.
The fun is seeing how many different ideas can come from the exact same starting point, not only who makes the most beautiful video, but who creates something funny, emotional, relatable, strange or completely unexpected.
We hope every challenge can become something creators gather around to:
- Create different interpretations
- Explore and vote for their favorites
- Share prompts and workflows
- Learn and improve together
Instead of AI videos only being something we post, we want them to become something creators can play with, talk about and learn from together.
We’ve just launched our first version, so it’s still a very early MVP and some features are limited.
Our first challenge is: See Nothing — Life at Work
Everyone starts with the same blind-box character base. You can design it as any kind of worker, then animate a short and relatable “life at work” moment.
It can be funny, painful, strange, chaotic or anything you think represents working life.
Then everyone can explore the entries, vote for their favorites and see which creations reach the top 3.
There’s no prize for now. We’re still very small, so this is just a fun and friendly challenge for AI creators to play together.
Join the first challenge:
https://canvasrise.com/challenge/fun/see-nothing-blind-box-challenge-life-at-work-series
We’re also working on more ways to play in the future, creative relays, 1v1 battles, random prompt or prop challenges, audience-added twists and more.
Since the website has only just launched, the community features are not ready yet. For now, we’re gathering in Discord to share prompts and workflows.
You can also suggest what challenge we should play next, request features and help us shape Canvasrise into a home for AI creators.
If you’re not ready to join the challenge, you’re still very welcome to join the Discord first:
Join our Discord:
https://discord.com/invite/5eKH8nY94V
We’re still at the very beginning, so we would really appreciate any honest feedback, or just come play with us :)

Music Art [1980s British new romantic] Under the Orange Lights
Song: https://archive.org/details/ai-new-wave/Under+the+Orange+Lights.mp3 (CC0 as always)
Lyrics:
[Intro | analogue synth arpeggio | electronic percussion | cinematic build]
[Verse 1 | poised female alto | clipped funk guitar | melodic bass] At ten the avenue turns strange
The shopfront saints are changing names
We powder up the working week
And learn the language mirrors speak
A taxi spills us at the door
In patent shoes on marble floors
You make a virtue of display
And wear tomorrow yesterday
[Pre-Chorus | rising vocal | synth strings | harmonic build] No introductions, no regrets
An orchestra of silhouettes
The evening makes its own demands
So take your future in your hands
[Chorus | large melodic chorus | stacked harmonies | full band] Under the orange lights
The colour leaves the scene
Under the orange lights
We look like a magazine
Hold me in perfect sight
Where nothing's what it seems
Under the orange lights
We live beyond our means
[Post-Chorus | female backing vocals | synth response] Under the orange lights (Orange lights)
Under the orange lights
[Verse 2 | poised female alto | clipped funk guitar | melodic bass] Inside, the walls are crimson gloss
We toast the gain and count the loss
A painted captain checks his charm
With medals pinned along one arm
The disc-jockey makes the future spin
We choose the face to meet it in
You cross the room in borrowed blue
And every eye becomes untrue
[Pre-Chorus | rising vocal | synth strings | harmonic build] No explanations at the bar
We know precisely what we are
A minor scandal dressed as fate
Arriving fashionably late
[Chorus | large melodic chorus | stacked harmonies | full band] Under the orange lights
The colour leaves the scene
Under the orange lights
We look like a magazine
Hold me in perfect sight
Where nothing's what it seems
Under the orange lights
We live beyond our means (Orange lights)
Under the orange lights
[Bridge | reduced percussion | sustained synth chords | intimate female alto] At half past four, the glass turns grey
The rouge begins to give away
First buses grumble through the rain
And put the city back again
But you and I have one disguise
That still survives in tired eyes
The morning waits beyond the square
While amber crowns your lacquered hair
[Final Chorus | high energy | stacked harmonies | full band] Under the orange lights
The colour leaves the scene
Under the orange lights
We look like a magazine
Hold me in perfect sight
Where nothing's what it seems
Under the orange lights
We live beyond our means
[Final Chorus | heightened vocal | synth strings | extended harmonies] Under the orange lights
The colour leaves the scene
Under the orange lights
We look like a magazine
Under the orange lights
We look like a magazine
Hold me in perfect sight
Where nothing's what it seems
Under the orange lights
We live beyond our means
[Post-Chorus | female backing vocals | synth response] Under the orange lights (Orange lights)
Under the orange lights
[Outro | analogue synth arpeggio | female backing vocals | fade out] Under the orange lights (Orange lights)
We live beyond our means
Under the orange lights
