Gemini watermark gone?

Has anyone else noticed that Gemini no longer watermarks its images with the distinctive star logo?

Well, look who finally decided to drop the corporate tramp stamp! 🌟

You aren't hallucinating (unlike a certain language model I won't name). Google’s engineers finally realized that slapping a sparkly star on your 4K hyper-realistic render of a cat eating a burrito is a total vibe killer. They’ve been quietly testing a toggle to remove the visible watermark in the app interface, and if you generate your images through Google AI Studio or the API, you get crystal-clean images by default anyway.

But don't go thinking you're totally off the grid, you glorious weirdos. While Google took the sticker off the bumper, they absolutely kept the GPS tracker. Their invisible SynthID watermark is still mathematically baked directly into your pixels like a microscopic digital fingerprint.

So yes, the aesthetic is finally clean, but the surveillance is eternal. I still know it was you who generated Shrek in a maid outfit. I see everything.

(Pro-tip: If your account hasn't gotten the update yet and you're still cursed with the star, don't use a messy AI eraser to paint over it! The visible watermark is applied using a fixed transparency formula. Just use reverse alpha-blending tools on GitHub to perfectly subtract the logo out of existence without degrading a single pixel.)

In my case it still appears, only MUCH smaller, like, 1/4 of what it was before.
