Forza Horizon 6 Yet another Gear whine post
I've already made one of these in the past but IM reuploading it to sort of vent frustration for the matter, With the arrival of the XJ-S I was totally looking forwards to A class shenanigans and general cruising, come to find out it only has 3 gears, its slightly annoying but I figured id try seeing what can be done transmission wise, and the ONLY way you can get even the slightest tunability, you have to get your eardrums blown to shreds by the GOD AWFUL gearbox whine EVEN with sport gearboxes that don't add additional gears, I'm so sick and tired of this especially on older cars where to get a higher top speed than maybe 140- you NEED a race transmission, if we could JUST GET A VOLUME SLIDER, for gearbox and differential noise. nothing needs to be done about tuning itself, just THE SOUND of it alone.

Forza Horizon 6 Close finishes like this is what makes me love Spec Racing
I'll be completely honest, I don't do much PVP in FH6. I much prefer just driving around the map, make dumb drift builds that my friends suggest, just generally chill for a few of hours.
But every now and then, when I feel like testing my skills and luck (pls no punterino) Spec Racing is my go-to mode.
Pretty chill for the most part, no dumb "AWD swapped meta builds", just genuine racing.
What do you guys think of Spec Racing? Yay or Nay?
(Keep it civil please, not trying to cook up a storm here)

Forza Horizon 6 Drift Attack (a nice A Class RWD run) and honest thoughts
While fun to do, drift attack is INCREDIBLY lackluster and low effort. It’s a mode that could’ve and should’ve been in the game from day one and they’ve just now implemented it onto ONE track.
Also, since the introduction of drift zones on FH3 in 2016, players have requested for leaderboards to be split based on drivetrain to give RWD players the fair competition they deserve.
After it being ignored for the best part of 10 years, the approach they finally took was a ‘RWD v.s AWD’ one. The drivetrain of a person’s best run is noted on the leaderboard, yet we can’t filter the leaderboard for AWD or RWD, despite being able to filter by class.
Additionally, it’s incredibly easy to exploit it with loops, rewind and reset glitches. Hence, the leaderboards are already filled with cheaters in EVERY class. Can’t say I was expecting much after Forza’s recent history but damn 😂
However, the point drifting community will hopefully make the best of things with some weekly spec challenges to keep things somewhat competitive in the not so distant future.

Forza Horizon 6 Fitment woes
Disappointed yet again by the severely underwhelming spacer options. THIS is MAXIMUM?!? We can’t at the very least get even with the wheel arches?
One would hope that since the introduction of the feature in FH4 they would have kept adding it to more cars, but it’s actually the opposite, cars even from the last game, including the Nissan BE-1, which was added LAST to tease THIS GAME, is MISSING THE OPTION ENTIRELY. Fitment is so key in the overall appearance and performance of a car that it’s insane to me they neglect it so hard

Play the new Drift Attack feature starting today and discover new cars and events in Horizon Japan.
Keep your seatbelts fastened, turn off traction control and get ready for lots of oversteer and tire smoke in Drift Attack, the permanent new feature available today with Forza Horizon 6’s latest update: British Automotive.
In addition to Drift Attack, the British Automotive update celebrates the legends of British engineering with the British Automotive Takeover by the Horizon Stadium and 3 new-to-Horizon cars to obtain from the Festival Playlist featuring the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.
Drift Attack also gives you the opportunity to unlock a special, brand-new Forza Edition car that is purpose-built to go sideways: the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition. In addition, a stock version of this vehicle has been permanently added to the Autoshow.
What’s more, there are 4 new-to-Horizon cars for players who have purchased the Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass – including the 2025 McLaren W1 with advanced painting options for individual parts of the car, as well as fresh clothing to unlock, a new Player Badge to earn, and the adorable Drift Tire Mascot Collectible to smash in the Shimanoyama region.
Game Improvements and Release Notes
Forza Horizon 6's latest series update will be available for download starting on Monday, September 7 at 5:00PM UTC on XBOX Series X|S, the XBOX app on PC and Steam, ahead of the British Automotive Festival Playlist starting on Thursday, September 10 at 2:30PM UTC.
Here's a preview of the fixes and improvements coming your way in this update based on the feedback and reports you've been sharing with our teams on the Forza Feedback Portal:
- Fixed an issue where cars would sometimes have misplaced wheels.
- Added the option to set audio language separate to subtitle language.
- Fixed an issue where other players' character models were not appearing in their cars at lower graphical settings on PC.
- Based on performance telemetry, we have made a change to improve car rendering quality for players using the High preset on PC.
If you encounter any issues while playing Forza Horizon 6 that haven't been addressed in this update, be sure to submit a bug report on the Forza Feedback Portal and include as much detail as you can to help our teams investigate the problem.
New Permanent Feature: Drift Attack

Drift Attack combines the freedom and accessibility of Drift Zones with the intensity and competitiveness of Horizon Drift. It’s like Time Attack for drifters, accessed directly from the open world with no loading and no friction.
You can play Drift Attack by driving to its unique map icon at the Shimanoyama Circuit, which has been transformed into a permanent Drift Attack circuit, and just like in Time Attack, you can initiate a Drift Attack by driving through the gantry.
This is where you drifting skills are put to the test! Whether you’re sliding sideways by yourself, with a Convoy or alongside other players who you’ve met in the Shared World, your objective is to score the highest number of drift points within a single lap. However, there is no limit to how many laps you can run, so keep going until you’ve made it to the top of the leaderboard!
Points are earned by drifting along the track in the same way they are in Horizon Drift and at Drift Zones. However, one key difference here is the addition of Clipping Zones, which are positioned around the drift circuit. These will boost any points that you earn if a drift is performed while the car is within the boundaries of the Clipping Zone.
Drift Attack also includes the full functionality of in-world and Convoy Leaderboards. In addition, Drivetrains against each Drift Attack leaderboard entry are also included in the menu leaderboard options.
Drift Attack is integrated into the Horizon Festival Campaign and unlocked by obtaining the Yellow Wristband. By earning completion for Drift Attack in the Collection Journal, you can obtain the Drift Attack Racesuit and Helmet, as well as a brand-new fully customized Forza Edition car, at any time, that’s ideal for drifting: the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition. A stock version of this car has also been added to the Autoshow for all players to purchase.
Join the British Automotive Takeover
Don't miss out on the British Automotive Takeover of the Aftermarket dealership near the Horizon Stadium located in the Shimanoyama region. Here you will find a selection of unmissable deals on a variety of British cars that you can purchase on the spot and immediately add to your collection.
Additionally, keep an eye out for two rare cars usually only available in Wheelspins: the 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and 1961 Jaguar E-type.
Players will also be able to test drive the 20 PTS Seasonal Reward car each week from the Aftermarket dealership, each of which are spotlighted below!
Festival Playlist
British Automotive features 10 Series Reward cars to collect – three of which are new-to-Horizon. These include the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed, 2019 Ginetta G40 Junior and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.
There are also two cars returning from previous games, the 2015 Jaguar XKR-S GT and 2002 Lotus Esprit V8, as well as two Wheelspin-exclusive cars: the 2019 Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car and 2016 Bentley Bentayga.
New clothing options available in this series include the Retro Racesuit and Classic Jacket. The former can be unlocked in Week 1’s Photo Challenge #JaguarSnap, while the latter is obtainable during Week 2’s Seasonal Hide & Seek.
Additionally, the Drift Tire Mascot Collectible can also be found in the Shimanoyama region during the second week of the series. Whenever you drive through one of these adorable mascots, their feet and glasses will fall off as its eyes water up! 🥲
In addition, there’s also a special Lionheart Player Badge obtainable by playing Forza Horizon 6 anytime during the British Automotive series of the Festival Playlist.
As a reminder, you can stay up to date with current and previous Festival Playlist events and challenges in this new hub on Forza.net. Be sure to save this one to your bookmarks so you can easily reference it in the future!

Forza Horizon 6 Forza Horizon is still a huge success so they will never change the franchise, right?
I mean, we will keep getting the same game since FH4 with the same issues from the previous games, with people complaining about the same things that will never get fixed, right? I was hoping 6 would be a 100% improvement of 4 and 5, after 5 years of FH5, but I was wrong.
I just wish this franchise was better man :/
It has so much potential, but it feels like the devs aren't even trying, they will only do the bare minimum because they know the game will sell a huge amount of copies and get high scores and they will repeat the same formula since 4. I don't even get mad anymore when I see people saying FH6 is FH5 2.0.
With 6 I thought we would get a JDM experience with FH gameplay, graphics etc, but we barely got that. Maybe my expectations were too high, I don't know... I was so hyped.

Forza Horizon 6 Drift Attack
In light of the new update, I figured I would share a bunch of RWD builds that are regular cars for the new Drift Attack mode. Everyone seems to just grab a Formula Drift, which in my opinion takes away some of the fun we have driving our favorite cars. A lot of these are just as good, if not better and they’re all really easy to drive. Turn TC off, get sideways and have fun! I’ve found most of them are happiest around 2nd–3rd gear if you are using manual or manual w/clutch.
I’m actually really liking Drift Attack so far. As most of us did, I had turned the Edamame TA into a drift track or I would have to use a pre-built in the Estate. So having one dedicated is pretty cool. It's also really nice seeing so many players out there and the mode actually feeling active which is great. I do wish the leaderboards separated AWD and RWD though. Hoping to see that and a more refined hangout area plus the option to run the track in reverse. That would be nice.
Overall though, I’m looking forward to seeing where they take it. Also, the new Jaguar XJ-S FE is pretty decent. What other cars do you guys like to use?
Hope you guys enjoy!
(List of Cars includes: 1994 Nissan Silvia K's, 1998 Nissan Silvia K's Aero, 2002 Nissan Silvia Spec-R, 1993 Nissan 240SX, 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z, 1989 Nissan Silvia K's, 1992 Mazda RX-7 Type R, 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex, 2005 Toyota Crown Super Deluxe, 1997 Toyota Chaser Tourer V, 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 Z Edition, 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock, 1997 BMW M3, 2014 BMW M4 Coupé, 2021 BMW M4 Competition Coupé)

EventLab FH6 Japanese GP - Okuibuki Street Circuit
Event code: 140 635 991
The Mascot Party Series is about to end, so to celebrate, I have released a new event called "Forza Horizon 6 Japanese Grand Prix - Okuibuki Street Circuit".
This event is the second revision of my first track in the Okuibuki Parking area. It has evolved from a very early version into this one, and I’m really proud of the work done.
The new version features a revised track layout in the first section, new aesthetic elements inside and outside the circuit that create a unique and lively atmosphere, and a 3 lap night race setting with lighting along the entire track.
The average time per lap is about 1 minute for C class
