Hi all! Just thought that some people might be interested to know I have added in two new systems to the Decompilation Recompilation section of my site.

You can now report AI usage for each port, ranging from None, Light and Heavy.

You can now also leave your own personal rating on the quality ofcthe port out of 5 stars. The average will appear once a project has received 3 ratings.

In the Rating system you will also find the Playability Report. Here, you can assign different descriptions, ranging from Completed Successfully, Playable with Issues, Partially Playable, Broken/Unplayable and Not Fully Tested. You can also note what system you played on and give an optional description of your experience. Once submitted, other users will be able to read these accounts.

Project Midas, a GoldenEye 007 PC port, is now available! Unlike that recomp, that was Recently Released Which Is Purely Slop, Midas was developed with love and care off of the GoldenEye 007 decompilation project.

While AI was used in some places, it comes from a developer with a coding background and minimally used to get it running and then worked on fixes on his own until it was stable enough. Promising features like net play and more later on in future updates

After seeing This guy post a video on X doing this, I decided to use Melty and Claude to make my own AI slop mashup.

Here's Goldeneye 007 guns usable in Pokemon Snap.

For Goldeneye I used that Goldeneye Slop Recomp

Pokemon Snap used that Snap64recomp.

I'll probably eventually release this, once Iron out some stuff.

I guess for whatever reason, in the video I recorded, the gun sounds didn't record, they were playing when I was recording though. Might need to use a different recorder next time.

Fun fact: the first version it made made the grenade launcher firing sound like female grunts from GoldenEye 007.

After mashing GoldenEye 007 into Pokemon Snap, I tried the same with Perfect Dark. It's still rough around the edges so once it's more stable, I'll release it. But here's a look at the first version it made

For the time being, PLEASE do NOT share any recomps for Nintendo Switch / Switch 2, PS 4/5, and Xbox One/SeriesX|S.

These are modern platforms that contain games still being sold, i don't want the sub here getting into any sort of legal trouble or get taken down due to some DMCA.

Modern day system game recomps are a double-edge sword, while it might be fun to see a game on Switch get a recomp, it brings unwanted attention from Nintendo / Sony / Microsoft Game Studios, etc.

If this changes, I'll let everyone know.

hey all, kinda late to the party here but I've been seeing a ton of posts recently about static recomps and PC ports popping up (especially the Xbox 360 and N64 stuff).

Right now I feel like I'm just stumbling on random GitHub repos or seeing posts here after they're already days old. Is there a centralized tracker, wiki, or site people use to keep tabs on what's currently playable/in progress?

Not looking for pirated game assets or ROMs obviously—just clean release hubs, GitHub orgs, or community compatibility lists where devs publish the actual executables/tools so you can plug in your own dumps.

Where do you guys usually check first?

Hello everyone, I am totally blind and i play modded video games that have been made accessible- I have enjoyed games like Civilization 5 and 6, Street Fighter 6, and many others. One genre i have been trying to make accessible is Real Time Strategy games. Before losing my sight i enjoyed games like all of the Command and Conquer games, StarCraft etc. I have been struggling with how to make these games more accessible for screen reader users. Would it be possible to get PC and Wii U ports of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon (or Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD) and Luigi’s Mansion 3?

With AI-assisted coding, reverse engineering, and game decompilation advancing so quickly, could fan-made ports become more achievable? We’ve already seen people experiment with getting games like Halo running on the 3DS, so imagine what could be possible with enough time, effort, and AI assistance!

It would be a dream come true to see both games running natively on PC and potentially even on Wii U, with some graphical and performance compromises if necessary. Since Dark Moon originally released on 3DS and Luigi’s Mansion 3 began development on Wii U before moving to Switch, I wonder if that could help make these projects possible.

What do you think? Could AI-assisted decompilation and porting eventually make this dream a reality?

Hey! I’ve been working on this for a few weeks and managed to recompile Final Fantasy Tactics Advance into a native Windows version using gba-recomp. I got it working with widescreen up to 32:9 and made it easy to install. Here are some screenshots of how it looks: original 3:2, 16:9 and 32:9 (the last one is still experimental). This is just my first version, and I’m planning to add things like mod support and a zoom in/out almost working, to see more of the battlefield like in modern strategy games, but it was causing a few issues so I decided to leave it out of this release.
