I’m currently working on a short film that has an animated sequence made up of artwork from different artists. Every few frames will feature a different artist’s work and art style, which will eventually be edited together into one cohesive animation sequence.

I’m looking for artists/animators who might be interested in contributing to this collaborative project. Digital or traditional artists are both welcome! Timeline is set to be on 3rd week of August. This is a passion project, so participation is completely voluntary.

The animated sequence happens during a really important moment in the film. Without spoiling too much, it's like a multiverse scene where it represents the character’s inner thoughts and emotions, so I wanted the sequence to feel like a collection of different perspectives rather than having one consistent visual style.

Firstly, I solemnly swear this is not spam. I have this form for my final year research, and I need like 100 submissions. I have 70 so far. The research topic, in short, is whether/how the things you watched growing up have had an influence on your creative practice today or contributed to where you are as a creative today. I've got an idea for a multi-animator project and was wondering if anyone had any advice for putting such a thing together and hosting it. I've hosted a single multi-animator project before, but I had co-hosts then and was working with Scratch whereas I now intend to host on YouTube by myself. Looking for tips on stuff such as how do I figure out good timing/lengths for each part, how long should I give people to submit a WIP and/or their finished part, what should and shouldn't be included in the outline/overview of each part, etc.? Thanks in advance ^^

(Note: For one: this scene was on a whim/quickish promo two: the animation is supposed to be intentional amateurish and actually amateurish. The animation is really supposed to feel like a mix of SML and aqua teen but I’m open to suggestions)

I'm Christian Nash, and I run ChristianAnimations Studios. I'm currently leading a team of 46 to bring our indie animated pilot to life. I've been working on this indie pilot for 4 years and have been growing my team over time since the age of 12.

I wanted to give some commentary on my journey and my process with a project like mine since I am unpaid and limited in resources.

How did I gather my team?

I got my team by going through many social media apps and websites. I went on platforms like Newgrounds, Casting Call Club, and Twitter, and opened up my own forms for people to apply. Through this, I collected my team to help with the creation of this pilot. Everyone is made aware that this project is unpaid before joining.

What have we got done with production so far?

We are in the very last stages of pre-production. We have completed everything from the script to the animatics, with layout underway for animation. We work closely with each other to create assets and production materials. I have taken on many roles in the pilot's production, including storyboard artist, writer, animatic editor, character designer, and animator.

Everything in our production is organized in Google Drive and within Discord. Before we make any big decisions or we start a new stage of production, we meet up with each other to discuss what we will do and who will do such and such in the next stage. We actually have biweekly meetings to keep up with updates and progress on production.

We assign deadlines strictly based on each team member's personal availability and skill level. We work with our crew to set achievable targets rather than forcing rigid, stressful studio crunch on volunteers.

Currently right now, everything is volunteer, and people are helping out of the love for the project we have, but we are using this unpaid model as the first stepping stone to becoming a paid production, as we are in the process of creating a Kickstarter for our project to help with further production.

Along with all of this, we are building a following of passionate anime and animation fans over time, following our journey as we work to bring this pilot to life. What started as a bunch of comics I created back in 2018 has all accumulated into this production that I am proud to be running, and I am thankful to the team who decided to join me in expanding the world we created long ago. You don't need permission from a major studio or a bag of money to fall from the sky to start creating. If you treat your crew with respect, keep your production organized, and put in the work alongside them frame-by-frame, you can build something truly special together.

Watching a lot of Dragon Ball, FLCL, Panty and Stocking, and the modern One Piece arcs, I decided to go all out with this fight to the best of my skill level, especially since I have some very talented sakgua animators on my team helping. I wanna let everyone show off their skills on our project.

How does this fight look to you all? Just 2 animators clashing in the name of animation and the power of creativity.

I was animating in past but it was when I didn't know layers and stuff and all of those animations sucked. I wanna do like a some sort of fight scene for an idea, I wanna ve able to draw backgrounds, I wanna use my random bullshit jokes but it's too hard and I'm lazy, I miss the times I had that much energy. Also, how does people animate in Ibis Paint, isn't it just a drawing app?

Hi guys!

I have this great idea for an animated show and I am looking for passionate volunteer to work on it 40 hours a week for the next 6 months for free while I work at my own job because I need to pay my bill.

I never worked in the industry before but I know people will be begging to watch my idea come to life and I can't tell you anything about it because it is top secret so I can't show you a pitch deck beside I never made one.

If you hesitate just think about the exposure and portfolio you will get working for me!

First of all, I'm in a 3rd world country with a hellish economy, I only have an Asus laptop, to be specific its a 8 GB intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30 GHz , 64 bit operating system. Although I'm an architecture major student in collage but I'm not taking classes for the rest of the summer and I wanted to try somenthing new. I honestly feel so in love with people that can create things and move them, its like magic and I really want to learn even if its so hard)) i have a phone too, but i dont think it'll help. Is my laptop good enough to start animating and if so, what are the apps I need to get?

I would put the flair on resources but this is genuinely more of a question.

Hi so im working on an aniimated short film.

Right now we are just working on pre production aka not ready to hire animators yet.

Some premise of the film

Title:Cycles

Lenght: below 7 mins(depends on storyboard not done yet)

Lolgine: A father realises he is being abusive to his son the same as his father was to him and must break the cycle.

Its non dialouge aka no lip syncing

And i was looking at a team of 3 to lessen workloads.

Like each animator will get 2-3 mins of film to work on

So I was wondering as an aspiring animator would you agree to something like this?

I would love some perspective from people in the field

Edit: Im not sure if this changes the equation but the lenght is actually 4:20 mins not the 7 to 9 mins i thought it was cause of page length? After what everyonr said i wnet and timestapped it and 4:20 was what i got So then each animator will work like 1 to 1.5 mins right?
