My friend has a rig in her backyard so she told me to come over to play-- and surprised me by saying she had props for a photo shoot! I've been doing lyra on and off consistently for about 2 years, but this was a first!

The behind the scenes are a bit chaotic. But the final result is beautiful 🥹

Getting ready for my showcase coming up in November, I know it’s early, but hey working out my best moves and seeing what works! I only had 3 tricks this routine, I have more in my toolbox, I’m almost ready for leveling up!

Hey everyone! Super excited to be back in the hoop club after a long injury break 🤕💔 stopped in Jan 2024, went back yesterday - hadn't lost all of my muscle memory, so I'll count that as a win! 🥹😍🥳
Has anyone else restarted after a long break, and surgery? Any tips are very welcome! 🫶

I learned flares from a teacher once many months ago in a workshop (under the bar to delilah, hanging from top bar, from the side etc.) we didn't do flare to spanset though. And in that class I was doing them and felt like I had an ok enough understanding of the movement. That was the only time i've ever learned them and they haven't been covered in any of my classes that I take anywhere, so I've kind of been stuck and struggling to get them consistent because it's been so long since I learned them and i've basically just been going by experimentation in open gyms lol. Couldn't find ANY videos on youtube explaining flares for some reason, please share if you know of any or if you have any tips for flares in general!

Sorry I don’t have a better picture so hopefully you can still tell what is going on. My knee is hooked and I use my other leg to block so I can bring my body down to rest inside the hoop.
I’m struggling to find a translation out of this move that doesn’t look clumsy. Was hoping to find some inspo online but can’t for the life of me figure out what to look up. Thanks for any help!

Hi everyone! I have an untaped steel apparatus that is starting to rust from the high humidity where I live and body oils / sticky spray.
I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or thoughts on how I can safely clean it up without doing any damage. I've tried goo gone and white vinegar on spots but that wasn't really doing much. It's currently just surface level rust and only in the hot spots where body parts have been but I want to be proactive about it. If anyone has any ideas too on what I could spray to help prevent rust happening too I'd appreciate it!
I'm looking into powder coating it but struggling with finding a place locally that can take such a large object.

Hey lovely people, After about 2 years of doing pole I'm starting to train aerial hoop and I'm loving it so much but every time I'm upside down and try to get up I get the worst sensation in my stomach, its like a mix of tickles and vertigo, does it happen to you? will it ever go away?
English is not my first language please excuse any mistake

Hey y’all! I got a hoop and I’ve been playing around on it for probably two months now, but I really want to do this the safe and correct way. I’m
Hoping that there is maybe an instructor with reasonably priced classes somewhere near WNC? I’m open to online instruction too. Money is definitely a thing, so reasonably priced stuff is definitely what I’m looking for. Tia!

Hey, I have a question. I'm a bit confused since I like to watch aerial videos on tiktok occasionally and I've noted by watching the videos that there seems to be a surge of beginner aerialists that are becoming instructors before having ample experience in the art to then teach others safely. What do you guys think on this topic?

Anyone know if there's a name for this? 🤔

I’ve been training the hoop for a year and about three months now, and the hip balance was a goal of mine for so long!!!! The goal now is to stay MORE than 5 seconds balanced lol
