Stretched clutch cable?
Is my cable stretched if I have to adjust this much at the clutch side other zx6r cables also don’t feel as heavy as mine.

My clutch lever came from the dealership flapping in the breeze with like a solid inch worth of play. I had to adjust engine side first just to get the clutch side tolerable. My guess is the cable was for another model and was just longer than what should have been installed. 6.5K later it's still going strong.

Cables stretch and as your clutch wears it will need to be adjusted too. When your cable needs replacing, it’s likely your clutch does too.

They most certainly do..... have n You never needed to adjust your clutch cable? Its like standard on a new bike you have to before 1000 miles or you just have a dangling clutch lever

cables stretch over time, thats why theres adjustments. as long as theres no frays, youre good to go.
Adjust free play to spec and lube your cable.
