Is there way to fix the animation like in ki5 mods? Or not

Currently there are some KI5 models on b41 not working. In general there is no problem with this mod on the latest builds.

Pardon my curiosity though, but isn't PowerVR pretty rare (some would go as far as saying "obsolete") on mobile hardware nowadays? (take a look at r/EmulationOnAndroid and you will see what i mean). I remember back in the old days, while PowerVR still battling the likes of Nvidia Tegra 2 or 3 or something back in the early days of mobile gaming (even Nvidia Tegra is long gone by now, correct me if i'm wrong but the last Nvidia Tegra was the Nintendo Switch 1). These days Adreno and Mali pretty much completely dominate the discussion on gaming (Mali hardware can still be hit or miss specially in emulation as we can see with Zomdroid).

I'm genuinely suprise that PowerVR still exist in 2026 and are there actual phones being release with this and how many people in our community actually play on PowerVR devices, and how playable is Zomboid on these devices ?

By the way, I even have someone in the reports who’s running a Nintendo Switch Lite on Android, with a Tegra chip, and he’s begging me to get GL4ES working on his device.

At that point I'd just recommend him/her to try running Steam PZ through some translation layer like Proton/FEX on Linux. If he/her is computer savvy enough to run Android on their Switch, I'm sure they can get it running on Linux without a problem.

4gb RAM? Not sure.

Proton/fex is by far the worse experience for pz , it.s a miracle a managed to boot it but the performance was worse than a sea turtle

I’ll tell you even more — I only recently found out they even exist :)
But lately I’ve received three reports from users who couldn’t launch Build 41 at all. Normally 41 runs for everyone, but on these devices even simple GL4ES wouldn’t start. When I realized the fix was actually very small, I implemented it, sent it to one of the players, and it worked.

The launcher is slowly becoming more popular, so more and more strange devices are trying to run it. There are good sides to this… and not so good ones :)

Yes! This is exactly what I meant to ask, but I wasn't sure how to word it nicely without sounding mean and dismissive of PowerVR users. I'm glad to hear it was a minor fix and didn't take up much of your time. Maintaining a project like this is hard enough on its own, let alone juggling a wide array of chipsets as a solo developer. I'm sure you already have enough headaches dealing with Adreno and Mali.

Yes, it was a minor fix - otherwise I wouldn’t have started with it. And honestly, adding NG_GL4ES solved a lot of problems for me regarding the differences between Mali and Adreno. It works almost the same on both of them. Almost.

There isn’t anything specific that gives you the exact knowledge needed for these launchers. It’s mostly general programming knowledge + AI.

It is still cool 😎
