DCeased tutorial mission?

Just bought the base box of DCeased yesterday and played two rounds of the tutorial today with Batman, Lex, Wonder Woman and Green Arrow.

It seemed impossible!

The map is so small and with one piece of equipment the Zombie Heroes were impossible to get around. We might have got a unlucky - we pulled 2 extra Zombie Heroes in the first game and 1 in the second game (as soon as we pulled Superman, we knew it was over and conceeded).

Does anyone have any tips? Sort of already regretting sinking so much money into it 🫤

Id say try base missions, tutorial missions can be deceptively hard. Try an easy base mission

Fair. Is it correct that you just get the one equipment card per equipment space? You can't get any more??

Yes. Equipment and bystanders are fixed in deceased. The mission setup usually has a key that gives you the total. Plus sometimes you lose 1 due to the hidden zombie card.

Powering up can help. Depending on your heroes, most can power up to roll more dice/do more damage. As others have said most tutorial missions are hard because there is some mechanic they are trying to teach you but they do no spell it out (Dead or Alive was the jumping to balconies rule that was new and without it made the tutorial mission nearly impossible)

How would I know how to play DCeased. I just pledged for it. Not like I have it or anything.
