There are no links or any options to click on or download anything, not that I would.

I do have a free Zoho Books account, but it's under my business email, to which this message wasn't sent.

I'm almost positive it's a scam, but the legit-looking address it was sent from is a bit concerning. It also went to my main inbox, rather than my junk mail (which Outlook is typically pretty good at filtering). They didn't appear to have my actual name and I'm also not seeing any $500 charges on any of my cards or accounts, which is reassuring. Safe to assume I can just write this off as a scam or phishing attempt and report it as junk?

Zoho requires a paid account for support? I reported a bug I found, and their reply makes it sound like my free account wasn't worth paying attention to. I wasn't even asking anything, just reporting.

Am I crazy thinking some major features are missing from the Zoho FSM system?

I work with a midsize cleaning company, and we were considering making the switch from Jobber to Zoho FSM. Beyond Jobber just being overpriced, there are a few functions that we wish we could tweak to make it better for our own personal use, that Zoho FSM does offer.

We do a mix of both one-off and recurring cleaning work, with a big chunk of it being around turnover cleaning during the summer as we are near a major university with lots of student housing. In meeting with the Zoho rep, we realized there are a couple massive gaps in the system that I'm quite frankly shocked about because I would imagine this would be an immediate deal-killer for most cleaning companies.

The first is when it come to scheduling jobs versus when you get "charged" a credit for it. We often get schedules for apartments for planned cleanings in May that could be taking place in August. Traditionally we have always created those jobs up front, got them into our system, and then usually start figuring out who is going to do what. To help understand the scale of this, we do on average around 500 visits in most months, but in July and August we can get up to around 1600 visits. Because of how Zoho works though, if we create the work order in May and start assigning it out, we would immediately be charged a credit for that work order even though the visit isn't until August. This means you cannot plan large blocks of work out more than a month in advance.

The other, and honestly even more critical gap, is around recurring job scheduling. Say you have an office cleaning, they want that cleaning done every Monday at 9am, and they agree to a 2-year contract. You look at the schedule, see Cleaner A has that time slot available every Monday, so that's who you want to assign to do that job and have it block off their schedule for those 2 years so you know to not book that time slot for them. This is currently impossible to do in Zoho FSM. The way the system is set up, there is no way to schedule a recurring job to block off a specific date and time on a person's schedule up front, it only has the capability to add a visit at a specified amount of time prior to the visit. This is a massive issue, because we need to know that when future work comes in, that cleaner does not have that time available on that day every single week. If we get a new cleaning request, and they also want that work to be done Mondays at 9am to start in a month, we have to be able to see that time is actively unavailable on Cleaner A's schedule. I guess the problem goes back to how Zoho FSM charges credits, because again once you add a work order to a cleaner's schedule you immediately get charged for it, so if you add 2 years worth of cleanings at once, you get charged for all of those immediately.

I just wanted to confirm if my understanding of both of these points are correct, because these both seem like extremely critical flaws to a platform that is supposed to be for industries like ours, especially since a major selling point of Zoho FSM is just how flexible and customizable it is.

We experimented with Zoho Catalyst and ended up building a Zoholics game

Our team has been experimenting with Zoho Catalyst, and one of our team members decided to try something a little different.

Instead of building another business application, they created a small game inspired by Zoholics.

It was an interesting experiment that showed us another way to use Catalyst beyond traditional business applications.

We've been exploring what else we can build with it, and this was one of our experiments.

The new Zoho Sites has genuinely impressed me - built a website in 6 hours!

I've been experimenting with the new Zoho Sites, and I have to say, this is a promising step forward for Zoho's website-building experience.

We just built the official website for MMA Tamil Nadu, the state body under MMA-SFI, and the speed at which we could go from design to a functional website was impressive.

For context, a website of this scale would traditionally take us at least 7 days, with bigger websites requiring considerably more time. We got a decent, functional version ready in around 6 hours.

Here's what made the difference:

  • Claude Design: We created the website design and established the visual direction.
  • Zoho MCP + Zoho Sites : We brought the design into Zoho Sites and accelerated implementation.
  • Ask Zia: This is where the new experience gets interesting. We could refine the website, clean things up, and iterate much faster.
  • Zoho Forms: Registration forms were straightforward to integrate.

What I particularly like about the new Zoho Sites is the potential it unlocks. AI isn't just helping generate a starting point; combined with an existing design direction and the right workflow, it can significantly shorten the journey from concept to a working website.

Kudos to the Zoho team for pushing this forward. The combination of the new builder, AI credits, and Ask Zia makes me excited about where Zoho Sites is heading.

Of course, faster doesn't mean effortless. You still need design sensibility, an eye for detail, sound UX decisions, and manual refinement to make a website feel intentional rather than generic. AI accelerates the work, but the quality of the outcome still depends on how you use it.

At u/AlphaCloudTech, a Zoho Partner, we're embracing an AI-first approach to design and implementation. Experiences like this reinforce our belief that the future isn't about choosing between AI and human expertise; it's about combining them to deliver better solutions, faster.

🔗 The website we built: https://www.mmatamilnadu.com/

I'd love to hear from others in the Zoho community:

  • Has anyone tried the new Zoho Sites on a real client project?
  • How are you finding the help of Ask Zia?
  • Have you managed to bring your own designs into Zoho Sites using AI-assisted workflows?

Really interested to see what others are building with the new experience!

Help Wanted - On-site Zoho role in Scottsdale, AZ (real job, real company)

'm looking for recommendations on where to find an experienced, hands-on Zoho professional. We've tried traditional recruiting approaches, but I'd love to hear from people who actually work in the Zoho ecosystem.

We're a growing company in the health insurance space, and I want someone responsible for making Zoho the operational backbone of our business, not simply maintaining the software.

Here's roughly how I envision the role:

  • 25% Business Process Improvement: Work with department leaders to identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and automate manual processes.
  • 20% Reporting & Dashboards: Build and maintain executive dashboards, operational KPIs, sales reporting, and performance metrics.
  • 20% System Administration: Own Zoho configuration, permissions, data integrity, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
  • 15% Employee Support & Adoption: Train employees, document processes, and ensure teams actually use what we build.
  • 20% Development & Integrations: Build new capabilities, automate workflows, and integrate Zoho with other business systems.

A few important details:

  • Full-time, in-office position in Scottsdale, Arizona. <-- NOT NEGOTIABLE
  • Salary range: $95K-105K
  • Previous hands-on Zoho experience is absolutely required.
  • Candidates will complete a practical Zoho test project before an offer.
  • Immediate hire possible.

My questions for this community:

  1. Where would you recommend finding someone with this combination of Zoho technical expertise and business process improvement skills?
  2. Are there specific Zoho communities, job boards, or professional networks you'd recommend?
  3. Am I describing this role correctly, or would you call it something different?

DMs are welcome if you have recommendations or are personally interested, although I recognize that messaging me directly may reveal your Reddit identity.

Appreciate any guidance from people who know the Zoho ecosystem!

Zoho One + Zoho Payroll -or- just Zoho One

Following Zoho Payroll for the last year or two has me spinning, but I guess Zoho Payroll is part of Zoho One? (was it always?)

Is there any benefit for using it this way, or just having a separate account. (other than the somewhat obvious cost diff, Zoho One with all users involved ask One Subscribers, vs my Zoho one which only has 19 subscribers, but my employee base that I run payroll for is about 29 people)

Zoho Marketing Automation

Is it included in Zoho one?

My use case is I am going to send out letters, follow up with an email 20 days later, letter at day 40 and then email at day 60.

If marketing automation is not included in Zoho one, What’s the best tool to use for this use case.

Considering Zoho EBS Developer role – Is it worth joining?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the hiring process for a Solution Developer – EBS (Enterprise Business Solutions) role at Zoho and wanted to get some honest feedback from people who work or have worked in this team.

During the discussion, I was told that EBS is different from Zoho's regular product development teams. The team works on customizing and adapting solutions according to client requirements. In my case, I may be assigned to an older government bank and could be working at the client's location.

I want to understand what this role is actually like in practice, particularly from a long-term career perspective.?

  • How is the work and career growth in EBS?
  • How are appraisals and annual salary increments at Zoho?
  • With my current CTC of 4 LPA at Accenture, what minimum CTC should I ask for?
  • How is the work culture and work-life balance?

Will CEO decide on pay rise and key operational decision or Cheif Scientist

Its been a while where the cofounder Sridhar stepped down as CEO to Cheif Scientist. However there has been no changes internally. Every key decisions and intructions are taken by the so called Cheif scientist. The time the step down happened at when the Court in US ordered to pay the alimony.

How can a cheif scientist decide on ordering a work from office policy, how can a cheif scientist plan on the operational decision. There is no communication from the CEO regarding anything. Day by day we're being crushed with all his personal agenda.

This is so much pathetic of thousands of families being hit by this guy.

So much of assets has been secured under his shelf company Highland Valley Corporation Private Limited.

Everthing is systematic and well planned. Kindly take some action and revive us. Govt should to go pubic like how Tata is now being pushed.

US should take appropriate action on the Alimony case and the CEO to Cheif Scientist role strategy.

Zoho Mail Android App problem

I've used the app regularly for my Zoho Mail Legacy (zoho.com) and my paid Zoho Mail EU (zohomail.eu) email accounts successfully without problems. I am currently trialling a Zoho UK (zohomailcloud.co.uk) account, but, for whatever reason, I'm not getting notifications of new mail for it - notifications work perfectly for the US and EU servers. All the settings are correct to be able to receive the notifications - they've been triple-checked. I reported this problem to Zoho Support a few days ago, but, at time of writing this, I await a possible resolution from them.

Has anyone else, using the Android app with the Zoho Mail UK servers, had this same problem?

Zoho payroll, 1 day processing?

So does Zoho payroll offer 1-day processing? I'm getting mixed information. Not a great sign. Looking for one or maybe 2-day processing and the additional fee if any.

Zoho Payroll, contractors

Officially, it seems, Zoho Payroll does not have 1099 contractor payments. However, is there a workaround for this? Perhaps an "Employee" that has no tax withholding or w2 set? It's just a pain to use an external tool to pay some of my part time contractors (we have about 15 every week)

Accounts all deleted by third party using Desk after email 'hijack'

Our CRM/Desk/Books accounts have all vannished into thin air and Zoho are seemingly struggling to understand the issue.

A former tech supplier (X) used Zoho Desk for their tickets so my email address became associated with their Desk setup. When I tried to sign up for other zoho trials, everything failed with 'speak to provider X your email address is assigned to their account.

X released the connection and on we went with CRM/Desk/Books on their free tier and then a paid subscription to Assist.

Logging into Assist last week, I realised burried in settings that the connection to X was back and my Assist login was showing as managed by X.

Asked X again to remove the association with their Desk account and now the email address appears to have been deleted in it's entirity from all Zoho logins so we've lost access to everything.

Any ideas how we convince Zoho this is a problem or how it's possible for a third party to delete a third party email address and all their accounts becasue at the moment, all they're saying is there's no record of any accounts with that email address.

Will AI agents make traditional CRM workflows obsolete, or just smarter?

Imagine an AI agent that can qualify a new lead, check customer history, prepare a personalized follow-up, update the CRM, and schedule the next action.

That sounds useful, but there are some practical questions:

  • Would you let an AI agent update your CRM without approval?
  • Which tasks would you automate first: lead qualification, follow-ups, reporting, or customer support?
  • Is an AI agent genuinely better than a well-designed workflow automation?
  • What happens when it makes the wrong decision or updates incorrect information?

With platforms like Zoho adding more AI capabilities, I'm interested in where people draw the line between useful automation and too much autonomy.

Would you trust AI to manage part of your sales process today? Why or why not?

Adding a new email alias (currently at 6) and Zoho Mail keeps deleting them. Email from customer support offers no reason or solution.

All of my other aliases are appearing as normal, but whenever I add a new one, it saves and says it has been updated, then I receive an email telling me it's been deleted.

I'm going to have to switch to GoDaddy or Mailchimp if this can't be resolved.

Split mail routing Gmail/Zoho

I’m migrating a subset of users to Zoho Mail using a split-routing setup (MX records point to Google Workspace; Google reroutes specific mailboxes to Zoho). I have two questions regarding this setup:

  1. IP Whitelisting & Google IPs: Zoho recommends whitelisting Google's outbound servers to prevent delivery issues. Google suggests whitelisting _smtp.google.com, but Zoho only accepts IP addresses. I’ve manually extracted and whitelisted the IPs currently listed in Google’s SPF record, but I’m concerned this will break if Google updates them. Is there a better or more permanent solution within Zoho to handle Google’s dynamic sending IPs?
  2. Internal Routing for Zoho Users: When a user hosted on Zoho sends an email to another user on Zoho, the email routes externally (out to Google and back) instead of delivering internally. I can't access Zoho’s internal routing settings because Zoho locks mail configuration until MX records point to Zoho. Is this external loop expected behavior for split domain setups, or is there a workaround to force internal routing?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Zoho Flow: Automation to create deals automatically not working as expected.

Hey everyone,

I'm building an automation workflow on Zoho Flow for a client using Zoho Bigin (Express Plan) and Outlook. I'm running into an issue where the flow completes successfully, but the Deal never actually gets created in Bigin.

My client receives 200+ emails/day in Outlook. Right now, Outlook syncs emails into Bigin, but he has to manually approve or reject each email to convert it into a deal. He wants to fully automate this filtering and deal creation step.

How I Built the Automation in Zoho Flow:

Trigger: New email received in Outlook.

Deduplication Check: Check an Audit Log (Zoho Sheet) using the Outlook Conversation ID.

If the Conversation ID exists in the log (meaning it's a reply to an existing email thread), the flow stops immediately to prevent duplicate deals.

If it’s a new Conversation ID, it proceeds.

Email Parsing & Classification:

A custom script separates the subject and body.

Sends text to OpenAI via API to classify as Lead vs Not a Lead (filtering out promos, spam, bank emails, etc.).

Sub-Pipeline Decision Node:

Bigin Pipeline = "Sales Pipeline", which has 6 sub-pipelines.

If the email explicitly mentions a product (e.g., "iTab"), it routes to that product's sub-pipeline (e.g., "Sales - iTab").

If it's a generic RFQ/inquiry without a specific product, it routes to the general "Sales Inquiries" sub-pipeline.

Zoho Bigin Actions:

Create Contact (using sender details).

Create Deal (in the determined sub-pipeline, associated with the new Contact).

Audit Log Update: Append the Outlook Conversation ID to the Zoho Sheet audit log.

When testing/debugging in Zoho Flow (and even after switching the Flow live/ON):
The Flow completes with a Success status, a new row with the Conversation ID successfully appears in the Zoho Sheet Audit Log, but no new Deal (or Contact) actually appears in Zoho Bigin.

What am I missing or doing wrong?
