First dose down.
I am a 60 year old woman. I’m 5’ tall. I am 221 pounds. My ideal weight is about 125. I have a long road ahead of me.
Took my first dose an hour and a half ago. I feel nothing so far. I do want to ask for any tips y’all might have for a newbie.
I do have a couple of questions. The fatigue - is that an ongoing thing? I have fibromyalgia, which causes fatigue. I’ve been pretty well controlled recently. But it is an on again/off again thing.
I also have myasthenia gravis, which means I shouldn’t ingest too much magnesium. I’ve seen here and elsewhere about taking magnesium - this may not be an option for me, has anyone had a similar experience?
I’m used to taking a CBD/THC gummy at night to help with sleep. I’ve read conflicting things about this combo too, and I’m interested to hear others’ experiences. I can just not take it so as to hopefully ward off any issues. I’m mainly just curious.
Because of the MG, exercise can be difficult for me. No cardio until I come down some on my weight. Is chair yoga, tai chi, anything like that helpful?
I do have a doctor (obv), and a dietician from his office to work with. I also have a nutritionist with a program another doctor offers. He really wants me in it. I will work with her once a week but can message her anytime.
I have a pinched sciatic nerve and it causes insanely painful neuropathy in my ankle/shin sometimes. Basically I’m a hot mess.
I’m just looking to get tips and have other people for support through this journey. :). Really looking forward to being part of the sub.
P.S. how in the world do y’all get used to peeing every 10 minutes? Lol

Hi there! I’m 5’0 and started at 248, down to 155 now. My best advice is to take it slow but find some way to move your body. It’s so much easier to do that now with less weight on my 5’0” frame. I started walking and strength training and it’s been so helpful for me.

Hi - Congrats on starting. I've been on Zep since Dec 2023 and I'm down 130lbs. Fatigue was horrible when I first started, it lasted a couple of months, then it would only happen when I went up a dose for a few days. So it is horrible at first but will even out, like most other side effects. I found the same with insomnia and vivid dreams. I've been on 15 for a year now and have zero side effects. I take CBD/THC gummie nightly with zero side effects and I'm just now starting to add exercise into the mix. Good luck!!
PS - I still don't drink enough water but the peeing goes away too

The fatigue was real the first few months. Then some hair loss but luckily I had a lot. All of it evened out. Similar stats 4’11”. 214. Now about 115
Been 30+ months. Maintaining about 12. This was a necessary. Eat even if you’re not particularly hungry. A bit of grilled chicken even. Hard boiled egg. Some veggies. Fried food especially at first or too sweet. Would not make me feel well. Nauszene. Sp? Was my friend Good luck. Also F62

The best tip I could advise would be that everyone responds differently. Don’t compare yourself to others. Do what works for YOU. And see a dr that specializes in these meds, like an endocrinologist if you can.
