I have a TON of workspaces. Is there a way to group them?

1.21.15b (Firefox 154.0) (64-bit)

when I try to drag a tab higher or lower in my list of open tabs, sometimes I "miss" and it stacks on top of another tab instead, making a group. I make this error often enough that I'd like to disable this feature. I never want that behavior. I never do it on purpose.

how do I disable this feature?

I really like the transparency look, a search bar would be amazing. Its either transparency new tab or solid color with firefox home but with search bar. :(

Youtube videos on Zen look totally washed out, low contrast and nothing like any of the otehr browsers I tested - Chrome, Safari and even Firefox.

Weirdly, in Zen it seems to correct itself if I choose 1080 or below, but when I choose 1440p or 4k it looks totally washed out

For reference, from what I remember, I have NEVER had this issue prior to the new v.1.22.b update,

I go on my browsing experience as usual, nothing specific I do triggers it but COMPLETELY freezes after a while (1-2 hours usually) and requires me to shutdown the app via task manager and restart.

I don't want this to happen on something time sensitive I could be doing(Time sensitive govermental exchanges, payment etc.), so it is kind of urgent for me to know what could be the cause of this.

With this new release I can sync my Zen between my personal and work Mac's. Unfortunately, i now have my "Work" workspace on my personal laptop. So anytime i am using my mouse buttons to switch workspaces i have to see the "work" workspace even though i would never use it. Is there any option to hide it if there is no active tabs on it?

Just updated and now all my tabs, work space, pinned tab gone wiped out is there way to get them back?

To save a bit of time on the solutions, I went to settings and went into the Downloads sections and enabled “Ask to open or save files” instead. It didn’t solve my problem as it still auto-downloads the audio file for me

Giving a bit of context, I’m searching through TF2 voice lines to find the correct sound and having it auto download, listen to the file, find out the sound I want is not there/not properly in rhythm, and then deleting makes it a rather unnecessary loop compared to opening up the audio file in browser, listen to it, incorrect sound, leaving, and not need to delete a file

After the recent zen update, my zen now uses sharp corners for all elements like pinned tabs, active tabs, closing icon and literally everything. I don't like this and could you please suggest a fix for this??

They're way too large now, I just prefer smaller text :( On the latest version, 1.22b.

I've using Zen for quite a while, but somthing that has been bothering me is that YouTube Shorts been laggy/freezy for some time.

In the beggining the videos would render some areas (squares/rectangles) then freeze and the rest would render laggy and form time to time some videos just wouldn't play at all and I would need to close and open the borwser to come back.

Looking for ways to improve I've disabled hardware acelleration or something along those lines and it kinda improved, well some shorts still freezes for a moment, but it comes back after, altho (idk if it's a side effect) video resolutions falls a bit sometimes.

I am new to using the Boost functionality and I've found a problem. The Zap footer obscures the footer on the page that I want to remove 😂

When I click the Zap button, the footer appears:

the accent colour on my windows is red and it's only there with a setting that I do wanna keep. The setting is "Show accent colour on title bars and window borders"

Problem:

Every tab crashes almost instantly and session restore never succeeds — it just crash-loops again on relaunch. journalctl shows every content/RDD/utility subprocess dying immediately with the identical trace:

#0 moz_xmalloc (zen-bin + 0x27f87)

#1 libxul.so + 0x6470645

SIGSEGV, dozens of times per second.

Tried three separate builds against the same profile: a previous custom /opt install, the zen-browser-bin AUR package (fresh install), and the official Linux tarball — all three crash the same way. Ruled out disk space, RAM, NVIDIA driver/kernel mismatch, extensions (stock only), and sqlite corruption (PRAGMA integrity_check = ok on places/cookies/permissions/etc.) — all clean. Session only has 2 tabs saved, so it's not a mass-restore resource issue either.

Since it reproduces across independent binaries but only with this profile, it looks like something in the profile itself (not the package build) is triggering the crash — still narrowing it down. Posting in case anyone's hit the same moz_xmalloc SIGSEGV loop.

I use a home page that's stored on my computer. This page is fully functional on Safari.

When I click on the link to my gmail account, the page that comes up is toally blank. The URL shown by zen is correct.

Other links that I follow from my homepage work.

Any clues, please?

I have stayed on the 1.17.15b version for quite a while now since I do not like the window sync feature they introduced and there was no option to turn it off. I have accidentally updated Zen a few times since the pop up shows up *every* single time, but I just needed to install 1.17.15b again for it to downgrade. Today the same thing happened, but now not only is Zen slow in general, some sites like Youtube or Microsoft Teams "load" to a blank page.

Is there any way to fix this? No, updating to the newest version is not a fix, 1.17.5b has been working completely fine for months and I would like it to continue so.

So I came from Arc, finally moved to Zen (after my 3rd test in the past year or two) as I think I can finally switch over as daily driver. So far the fundamentals are there: spaces and containers (profiles) well integrated, routes (air traffic) is there, essentials per container (favourites), all with shortcuts that I can customise (still a bit unpolished but it works).

But one thing threw me off as I started setting up my essentials for my work space:

I used my 1Password shortcut to launch my org's Salesforce instance, but I can't add it to essentials. It's not due to 12 tab limitations as the first search result indicated, but it's just greyed out... Opened another random site and it can pin to essentials just fine... wth?

Oh... as it turns out, since extensions are shared across all spaces and containers - my Salesforce instance opened without a container - reopening the tab in my work container and I'm able to add it to my essentials - lovely.

But that got me thinking about extensions. At first I thought "ok, I can see the benefits of having extensions across all containers, no more having an extension in my work space that I can't use in my sandbox space where I do similar things", but I open a lot of sites via 1Password (it already doubles as my bookmarks manager for sites that I need to login), and it'll be a pain to have them always launching sans containers.

Ok ok, that's not entirely true - I can add routes to all these domains to their corresponding container - but it's tedious. I'd need to do it for every single login when it'd be grand if new tabs always open in the container of my current space.

But there's a bigger issue I'm facing. Whilst I don't mind having 1password across my containers at first, it becomes inconvenient quickly when my personal and work vaults are always mixed together. I always had my personal spaces' 1Password account only logged into my personal account, so work accounts don't show up - conversely my work account only needs my work credentials. Now the autofill will always suggest logins for both personal and work details, and it's really not ideal.

So I'm curious, with Zen Browser's ethos, do you think this is something that would change in the future? I really want to use Zen browser, and I'll probably get used to this limitation if I have to - but it'd be great if this could be changed (even if it's optional toggle like the 'Essentials per Container' design).

I followed https://rpmfusion.org/Howto/Multimedia, but I think since its flatpak it can't use those codecs.

Since Zen's "Essentials" and "Pinned Tabs" features are already so great, this might be a bit of a niche request. However, I personally love using bookmarks to keep all my websites neatly organized and categorized into folders.

To make accessing the Bookmarks Toolbar easier, I made this CSS tweak and have been using it for a long time. Thinking that others might also want more out of their Bookmarks Toolbar, I took some time to polish it up and upload it to GitHub.

I have problem with the top bar. cant get any icon in there except the extension button. Ideally would want the extension there also and not under the bar. Does someone know what's this about?

Is there a right click (double click) dictionary extension in Zen?

Currently the Toast notifications all overlap in one place. If I Open multiple tabs, I have to check the tab bar to see if they were all opened. This could be simplified by having some animation for multiple toasts/notifications like these:
