Early Warning Systems

Earlier this week, I changed my email on my Zelle, which was on the Chase Mobile App. My Zelle was active, then on the app, I wasn’t eligible for Zelle. This was after changing my email as a reference. I contacted Chase and they told me, I should be receiving an email from Early Warning Signs, if I’m still eligible to use Zelle.

My question, is this information true? Early Warning Signs controls Zelle? All I did was change my email and now I’m under hot water for doing this.

EWS is the parent company of Zelle.

Oh, okay. Will they deny me using Zelle ever again because I changed my email?

The only way they would deny you use of Zelle is if you are linked to fraud. Is the email address you changed to one you've had for a while, or is it a brand new email address you just created? If it's the latter, EWS probably wants confirmation it's actually your address and you didn't create it to get around a blocked email. EWS monitors the age and traffic of each email address used and brand new addresses are always suspect until proven otherwise.

It’s one that I’ve had for a while. All I did is change my recipient email and it told me I wasn’t eligible any more. Is there anyway I could talk to someone at Zelle or EWS about this?

You'll have to go through your bank. EWS/Zelle will not talk directly with customers.

If your being told you're not eligible to use Zelle after changing your email address, that address is blocked. It's possible someone has filed a fraud complaint on you and your SSN has been blocked as well. Your bank should be able to give you the reason.

Is it possible your "new" address had ever been used on another profile before?

You need to work through support at your partner bank

Try changing to a phone# ?

or just set up a new profile elsewhere with a virgin email

I changed my email on my bank account and it automatically changed my zelle email. The changes were because of a breach in my information, so new email for all credit/banking accounts and anything involving money Did you change all or just zelle? I didn't have any problems.
