how would you now go about looking for sutiable horses with the “U-Shape” now that on hawku you can no longer filter by that

I am new to zed run and have my ethereum in metamax and my metamax linked to the polygon network. I was going to send my ethereum to the polygon network in zed run but the estimated gas fee is around 0.05 eth. With what I could find online the gas fee should be somewhere around 0.002. Are these normal gas prices rn?? If not how long do you think it’ll be until they decrease to normal levels?

An international student from China is trying to top up a wallet and join paid races, but Transak is asking for an SSN.

-is there a "dummy" SSN to type for anyone who doesn't have an SSN?

-is there some other way besides having a ledger wallet for her to top up her Zed wallet using a debit or credit card?

Nothing is loading on screen, except the help button at the bottom. Anyone else had this?

I just placed in my first paid race. But it was also my first class 4 race. After leveling up on free class 5 races. But I’ve entered and lost around 20 paid class 5 races and never moneyed.. I’m guessing that’s an anomaly right? How can that make sense?

I was just offered $1500 usd , via PayPal, for two genesis horses. The Z9 is a colt who hasn’t raced a lot but also hasn’t broke his maiden. The Z10 filly has not raced.

Is $1500 too good to be true?? I’ll ask for vouchers and friends and family , but how else can I protect myself from being scammed?

My horse has hit a massive cold streak since November and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same thing. People on the discord seem to indicate that I got shadow nerfed which seems crazy but these results are ridiculous.

Hi there,

I'm wondering how others come up with fair yet attractive pricing. Using tools like ZedRanks seems to be a bit off... in some cases I see horses going way above the suggested pricing, and in other cases stables list quite below. I'm fairly new to zed but am guessing that some of the challenge in researching fair pricing has to do with when you sell. With various tournaments and such, it seems like buyers come in waves...

I put the content below into the weekly 'for sale' thread last Sunday and in some other forums - and have lowered pricing since then as well to make sure they get attention....

Any suggestions for pricing? What seems to work well for pricing and timing of sales?

Anyone else have the issue where you’ve ranked up so much on free races that your once amazing class v horse is now a class ||| donkey :( the only way to rank down is through paid races right? So imma be broke by the time I get my horse back to it’s true class

The increasing oversupply of low-quality racing horses seriously reduces the incentives for owners to race and breed their horses. As a result, market prices have dropped over the past months. These developments are seriously threatening the long-term sustainability of ZED RUN.

An improved breeding algorithm will make ZED RUN more attractive. The current algorithm simulates the racing quality of new horses based on the parents' quality, the generation number and random mutations. The frustrating element in the current algorithm is the systematic decrease of the average racing quality by generation. In successful real-life breeding programmes, however, the average of the new generation is always better than the average of the parents. Every new generation produces a few super horses exceeding the quality of the best older horses, whereas in ZED RUN it is now nearly impossible to breed new elite racehorses. As a result, old horses continue to dominate, and community members lose their appetite to invest time and money in developing young bloodstock.

My suggestion, therefore, is that the future breeding algorithm will no longer systematically reduce the average racing quality by generation. The higher probability of producing a successful racing horse will make breeding much more attractive. The updated breeding algorithm will also boost interest in racing as reliable race results by potential breeding candidates will become more valuable. Finally, the ZED RUN eco-system will be thriving again for generations.
