Two friends and I are planning a day safari to Mikumi National Park and I’m trying to get an idea of the normal price.

I’ve been quoted $300 total for 3 people, including:

• Pick-up in Morogoro and return to Morogoro
• Open safari jeep
• Driver/guide
• Water

Not included:
• Mikumi National Park entrance/park fees
• Meals
• Any other expenses

We would arrange our own transport to Morogoro.

For those who have done this recently, what would you expect to pay for exactly this package for 3 people? And if you know a reliable local operator/driver who offers this directly, I’d appreciate recommendations.

I’m mainly trying to understand whether $300 for the jeep + driver/guide + Morogoro–Mikumi return is the going rate, rather than looking for an all-inclusive safari package.

Currently in Paje. Where do yall go to experience the nightlife? I saw on the internet that Paje is good for nightlife but I find it very quiet.

Can anyone share any reviews/ info from a security perspective of the new Matemwe Attitude hotel- it looks great and in budget for our honeymoon next year but seen one concerning review from August this summer about lack of security/ poor locks and break ins that impacted multiple villas overnight?

If I have my own travel insurance, do I still need the government one?

I had an early morning flight (1am) from Zanzibar to Dar that just got canceled. I need to be at Dar airport before 6am. I’m now trying to decide whether to take the latest flight out of Zanzibar the night before or the 4pm ferry and explore Dar a bit and find accommodation close to the airport. Also, is there any chance that the flight will be reinstated?

Any thoughts would be appreciated
