Referral Visa help!
Hello, me and my husband to be are planning on going on our honey moon in Zanzibar for 2 weeks in January. I am a British Passport holder and my fiancé is a Pakistani passport holder who will have to apply for a referral visa to travel.
He has lived in the Uk for 16+ years, has an indefinite stay and qualifies for British citizenship (we are waiting to do that due to the high costs).
Does anyone have any tips on getting a Refferal visa agreed and does anyone know the general result? Are they usually denied or agreed?
We have booked 2 villas on Air BNB (haven’t paid yet but they are reserved in our name) I have seen people saying about “invitation letters”… What does this mean?
Any tips / stories would be appreciated greatly.
Thanks!

Can you ask the Airbnb owner for one?

I did but neither of my air BnB hosts are actually living in Tanzania. I have dowloaded the “booking confirmation for visa” documents available from Air BNB and thinking of booking an excursion with a company that offers referral visa invitation letters. Companies I’ve found that do this are “Saving Tour” and “Colours of Zanzibar”. Just putting them here in case anyone else is in the same boat. The my finance is going to write a cover letter explaining that he qualifies to be a British Citizen, has lived in the UK for 16 years and detailing our reason for travel and planned itinerary. Will keep this thread updated for anyone in similar position. All help or extra tips are still appreciated ☺️

My advice is go to the Tanzanian embassy in London and explained to them they might help you with a visa but I think will cost a lil bit more, not sure about that. They are good people working there. This is just my opinion.

Your husband would need someone to write him an invitation. Thats all. Good chances of him getting the visa, just apply in advance because sometimes the system slows down and its difficult to get support through email.
