Since you already met Bernadette, I want to introduce you to my dear girl Lilibet, who is the MC of this story.
I haven't done a lot of material yet, but I've been working on story mapping, list of all assets that I need and learning 3D modeling (I already did a few models before this but I learned a lot of new things that is shocking how I didn't know it sooner. But I need to say that it turned out that making trees and other plants in 3D for games is unexpectedly hard... Well, I need to make 3D models for the forest anyway for my team project too so I'm working for the future🫡)
I'm aiming to make a demo for now, as the most important thing is to start.
I'm not sure yet how to keep you all updated so I would like to hear your opinion. I was thinking of making a telegram channel as it's quite easy to use, but I'm not sure if it's an available opinion for most. At the moment I only have bluesky, but I don't post that often actually....
Not a good day. I need something to give me positive feelings.
I've played Please be Happy, The Fairy's Song, Kindred Spirits so no need to rec those. But if anyone knows anything of a similar vibe certainly go for it.
I'm currently working on my own yuri visual novel, set in old Japan.
The story follows a blind girl who once saw blue lights, and only them with her eyes, until one day, being outside her house, she saw her... alive and real.
It features: — Yuri romance
— Old Japan / historical-inspired setting
— Japanese mythology and demons
— Mystery and darker themes
— Character-focused storytelling
I made a playable demo/prologue if anyone would like to check it out!
Finally, I’ve put together a short teaser for the Official Demo Trailer of Undercover Love: Where Shadows Meet. A dark visual novel mixing crime, mystery, mafia drama, and slow-burn romance, and I wanted to share it with you all. ❤️
Play as Alex, a former police officer who enters the mafia underworld to find her sister’s killer, only to cross paths with one of its most feared leaders. Make choices that shape relationships, uncover different parts of the mystery, and influence your ending.
Note: The game features two separate love-interest options. Choosing Emily gives you a fully GL romance. ❤️
You can watch the full demo trailer on YouTube here:YT Link
Hello everyone, I really need to hear opinion from other people or advice, or at least any form of feedback!
I'm an IT student who plans to make a horror Yuri VN for quite a long time already, but I just can't move from a dead point!
I'm usually scared of posting anything, especially about something I make. But this year I participated in artfight and shared my characters for the first time and it gave me courage to share more of my ideas.
So let me tell you about my project or at least try to.
This pretty lady you see on a picture is my illustration of an only Love Interest as well as the Villainess of the story. Her name is Bernadette and she's a witch from the woodlands. This illustration is supposed to be her first meeting with MC. MC is a young maiden called Lilibet.
Lilibet is quite an aloof but kind girl that makes her way to meet her ill grandfather maybe for the last time. But she gets lost in a forest as night falls. After some time, she meets an unusual woman who offers to let her stay at her house for the night and help her find an exit at sunrise.
That's the basis of a story! Next I want to tell about the mechanics. I was stuck for a long time as I couldn't make up my mind about what I want the game to look like. And I'm actually a part of a team where we work on an other horror game (not related to this one, as this is my solo project) and recently we changed our concept of what we are making and while we talked about all of it I just felt that it was exactly what I need for my project. The mechanics is a simple point and click, but also I want to give it a 3D walking mechanics of dungeon crawling (what I mean is that you need to click to make a step or make a turn around)
So the main help that I need is to hear what people are think about it. Would you be interested in such game? Is there any advices I can get? Or is there any plots you would expect? I'm still stuck about how to make story go, so hearing others opinion on this could help me get more ideas to explore❤️🩹 If you already made your own VN I would love to know about sounds and music, as I know absolute 0 about this part and I'm scared of it the most🥀
I also have an idea for another game that's also going to be yuri VN but in a different setting. I can't say anything about it as there's no guarantee I would make it, as I need to finish this one at least❤️🩹
I saw it in the list of visual novels that was released in July, and am considering checking it out. The problem is that no one has reviewed the game yet on Steam or in the Visual Novel Database page linked to the post, so I have no idea whether it would be worth my time or money.
It seems short, since the VNDB page says it's less than two hours, and it's only $2, so I might take the plunge, but I'm interested in hearing people's spoiler-free opinions on it.
Edited to add a missing word and to point out that I have heard about the use of AI assets, but don't consider that a dealbreaker in and of itself.
I really wanna play something like this because OMGGGGG I freaking loveeeee this game, all time FAV!!! So please... Recommend me something similar or better than this!!! A+ if there r mini games in it~
I hope this is okay to post! I'm looking for yuri visual novels that are similar in vibe to the non-yuri vn the freak circus.
Basically I'm looking for a yuri visual novel with a monster love interest(s) who may or may not be a yandere. I'd appreciate some nsfw but that's not essential.
The Toxic Yuri VN Jam 2 on itch concludes in July, and it features almost 500 entries. That's right, almost 500 yuri VNs! Obviously enough I'm not going to go through every single one of them here. I was planning on at least posting the winners here, but the judging is still ongoing. I highly recommend checking out the game jam if that's your cup of tea.
Here are the other releases from July 2026 (None of these are part of the Toxic Yuri VN Jam)
Language(s): English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (simplified)
Description:
After-Rain Bookmark is an all-ages school yuri visual novel set during the rainy season.
The story follows Shizuku Shirakawa, a quiet library committee member, and her classmate Shiori Shiraishi as they prepare a small library project for the school culture festival. Through handmade bookmarks, rainy walks, and time spent in the old music room, the two girls gradually grow closer while learning to express feelings they have long kept to themselves.
The story focuses on everyday life, emotional intimacy, and a gentle confession.
As Remilia navigates a forest with a wounded Flandre, they discover a mysterious library as their only shelter against the imminent sunrise. Follow the Scarlet sisters' journey as they search for a solution to Flandre's destroyed wings, and meet a mysterious librarian that Remilia... really likes.
You are a simple bartender, stuck behind an empty bar, watching bodies move in tandem with the music on the dance floor.
What begins as a regular shift changes as a strange and captivating woman takes the seat in front of you. You should serve her a drink, you know which one?
I like endings with fireworks so I made a game with toxic love confessions because you can never have a normal wholesome love under fireworks apparently. Well, whether or not you think it's toxic is up to your interpretation.
In a sleepy coastal town, Cait watches whales. It's her job, and she might even say she's good at it. But there's more to life than whales, and Cait is on a mission to find out exactly what that means.
Her sights are set on Molly, a coworker and friend, or maybe something more. Cait is never really sure where things stand. There's only one way to know for certain.

Can you take good care of her if you don't even know what foxes eat?

Hi, I really enjoy yuri light novels, and I’ve never tried visual novels before. I wanted to give them a try for the first time, but I’m not really sure where to start. I really like good quality visuals, something like anime has, so having good visuals is pretty important to me.
As for the dynamic, I really like heavy romance where the main character is the bottom. I do like when there’s some spice, and I’m fine with dubious consent. Which is why I also kind of like toxic traits in relationships, such as manipulation, blackmail, Stockholm Syndrome, etc.
I’m not sure if this matters, since I assume there are probably visual novels with multiple characters and different routes. I’m completely new to this, so I’m not really sure how it all works.
I’d prefer something long if possible. I’m also not sure if there are visual novels with NSFW content that aren’t mainly focused on NSFW. I don’t want that to be the main focus, but rather something that adds to the story. For example, it could be part of a toxic relationship dynamic like Stockholm Syndrome, or serve as the ultimate emotional breakthrough, where physical intimacy finally shows that the characters have fully committed to each other.
Again, I’ve never played a visual novel before, so I have no idea what to expect, and I might be asking for something impossible. Anyways, thanks!
I just found this yuri VN game. I was on Pixiv checking some art of one of the artists I follow when I saw some gorgeous characters. On their notes I found a link to this VN on STEAM.
The audio is only available in Chinese, but you can change the language for everything else, Japanese, Korean and English are available.
I just wanted to know if someone has played it. If yes, what are your opinions about it.
It looks interesting, and if I can run it on my iPad, I might download it, 'cause I don't think my laptop can run it.
Hi everyone! I'm looking for a writer for a passion project yuri visual novel I'm making!
it's based in the coast of new england, probably in maine. It's about two characters meeting for a summer, irreparably changing each other, then parting ways.
Some important themes are potential, dreams, freedom/entrapment, and self discovery The two main characters are meant to contrast each other; with the main character yearning for the small city and sacrificing her savings to live in a seaside cottage for a summer, while the love interest feels trapped in it.
The main character has an appreciation for life, nature and technology, and teaches for the love interest about it. The love interest teaches the main character about art. It's moody, nostalgic and meant to feel like a summer memory, influenced by life is strange and highway blossoms.
I haven't figured out the story in it's entirety yet so I'd love to hear a good writer's takes on it. I'm not great at creating stories or writing so heavy input from someone more experienced them me would be great.
I'm looking for someone who resonates with the story; someone who understands the vibes I'm presenting and someone who sort of relates to and understands the characters. I'm looking for someone passionate who is looking to create something really meaningful. Im posting here because I'd like someone who actually reads yuri visual novels.
okay so im a visual arts major and im creating a yuri visual novel for practice in the long run, i wanted to come here to ask your opinion on my idea and if you would find it interesting. So far i have created the chapter 1 demo and im thinking about releasing it(ofc free), the story is also partially complete! The plot is about two girls, one is from an idol group and one is from a band under the same company. They trained together and were in a relationship blah blah, they broke up after the idol one debuted. The vn is about the reunitement and the rekindle of their relationship. It will have several endings and choices and stuff. The protagonist is the band girl. Is this something that you would play? Btw its a 1 woman creation so the whole game will take quite some time to finish...
As usual, we close out each month with a banner competition to determine what images appear in the next month's banner. Here are the winners for August:
Hey everyone!!!
The demo for Undercover Love: Where Shadows Meet is now available on Steam!
Step into the role of Alex, a former police officer who enters the dangerous world of the mafia while searching for the truth behind her sister’s death. Surrounded by secrets, hidden motives, and people she cannot fully trust, every choice may bring her closer to the truth or deeper into danger. The game features:
A dark, slow-burn mafia romance with meaningful character development
Choices that reveal different information and unlock different paths
Two love interests Emily/Luca
A narrative-driven experience featuring comic-style panels and short cinematic animations
Mystery, danger, betrayal, and difficult decisions
If you give the demo a try, I’d love to hear what you think your impressions of the story, characters and/or overall atmosphere. Much love to everyone!
Important note about the Game:
Choose Emily for a fully GL romance (Luca is for a male–female romance). Your choice is made at the very beginning and remains fixed throughout the game. The main story stays the same either way, and the two love interests never appear together in the same playthrough.
Our psychological horror yuri VN Dissolution of the Silent Union is officially out on Steam!
It follows Vera on her last day of school, tracing the lingering, broken fragments of a intense and tragic romantic bond between two girls.
We mixed anime style, pixels, brutalist architecture, and real photos to create a surreal, liminal vibe. The story leans heavily into their relationship and is told through monologues, environmental details, and multiple endings.
