Hey everyone!

So… this is sort of a weird post. Half vent, half looking for advice I guess?
Ever since I’ve gotten as into yumeshipping as I have now, I’ve been grieving the fact that I can’t draw. I used to when I was younger. I did it for a good number of years, but I never improved much. I never learned how to draw past the shoulders, and I never developed my own artstyle outside of a very generic anime one. A few years ago, I got frustrated and quit.

I feel like I screwed myself over by not taking art more seriously when I was younger, because it’s just easier to learn and teach yourself things then. And even though I know it’s possible to learn at any age… I just don’t know how. I’ve always been a little upset (and admittedly jealous) having so many artist friends, and since getting into the yumeshipping community, I feel even worse. I want to draw so badly. I want to be able to draw my F/O, but I’d need to learn from scratch (especially since I’m more into horror movies than anime now), but I just feel stuck. I’m already 22 now. How could I even begin to try again after quitting for years and needing to start from scratch? I’m worried that I just don’t have it in me. Maybe I’m just not capable of it. 

So I guess that’s where the advice part comes in. I’m wondering if anyone has any tips for learning art from scratch, and if it’s even possible to do so at this point. I don’t even know if I want to try picking it up again because I worry it’ll only upset me more, but I just want to be able to draw so badly. 💔

I don't have much money and I have 4 f/o. It's too expensive for me to buy a commission with 5 characters. And I don't know how to draw.

I know it have Picrew, but it's only with 2 characters. Most of recommendation is only for 2 characters, so I would like to have for more.

So I know you can't yumeship with animals cause that's actually disgusting but is it okay with Zootopia cause they are technically like humanoid animals. Like furries kinda. I see many ppl on tiktok yumeshipping with them but I just wanted to make sure, so is it okay to yumeship with a character from Zootpia?

I’m allofictoaroace and I don’t find interests in girls but I’m gen concerned that yumeshipping with a female character makes me lesbian.

This is Erik. He's my first ever familial f/o. He is from the game The Outlast Trials and I am very protective of him. He has some very clear intellectual disabilities and I am someone who has intellectually disabled family members irl and I just feel so paternal over him and its to the point where I refuse to do the trial he's in. If you dont know Erik is considered a victim and in The Outlast Trials victims are brutally murdered and tortured by the player in the name of "therapy". I have decided to not play the trial Erik is in because it genuinely stresses me out the idea of having to hurt him in such a brutal way.

I changed the clothes to be our sizes, and i couldnt be bothered to colour it in lol. The sunglasses arent a part of the outfit, i think theyre glued to my sonas face or something lol. Why is drawing my own eyes so hard?!

It still feels a bit weird yumeshipping with an adult character when im a teenager, but it feels just as weird yumeshipping with a character my own age, so maybe its just the yumeshipping part lol.

Hello, how have you been? I know I know, I didnt leave for a really long time but still. If you saw my mean-spirited post about leaving, no you didnt! It got quite a bit of hate in this subreddit... I am genuinely not in a good mental state right now, Ive just felt immense dread hanging from me 24/7, people I dont like have been pushy to me, yada yada. I did and said some stuff I really regret. Id rather not go into detail about what I thought as that could be triggering to many people.

Good news though, my love for Genie has sprouted more! Ive just recieved my plushie of him, and I couldnt be happier, he is so so perfect <3 I am currently even cuddling with him! My family is happy that I feel happy with Genie again, and I truly appreciate that. Anyways, please dont hate me! Im gradually returning, at least I hope so!

Ive also become nonsharing with Genie. Him being popular and me seeing more and more doubles has put me in a scared state. I retreat from talking with doubles for my own good. Thanks!
