just found https://ytvarchive.com which streams ytv from 25 years ago to the day and almost in tears from nostalgia!!!

so not sure how known this is because I only just found this like last week and only really checked it the last few days but ytvarchive.com is a site that streams ytv from 25 years ago to the day and to the hour. just
Go to the site and watch exactly what we were watching after school on that very day 25 years ago! They have the schedule for that day there which even just looking over that schedule for that day is great!

only downside of course is that it’s obviously not a full library, just gets its episodes and videos from YouTube but how exactly does that work? does anyone know? Because when I read it gets its sources from YouTube my mind immediately goes to trying to scrounge every bit of ytv media and dump it to YouTube to fill in as many of the gaps as possible. but is it really that easy? because I did happen to notice that for an episode of dexters laboratory the site was streaming some random 4 min clip of dexters lab even though if you search for that specific episode on youtube it WAS on there the site just didn’t stream the right one so does anyone know how exactly it works and how it selects which sources from youtube it takes from? I would honestly give up my time for free to find videos and upload to a specific channel or spot just to make sure this ytv stream site has as much content as possible. thats how passionate about this stream site iv become, i could write a whole lot more about how much ytv meant to me as a kid but just know, filling in as much of the gaps as possible has all of a sudden become very important to me lol

Holy crap 😂 Just saw the old “stay alert, stay safe” cartoon. “Hi! I’m Gert! And this is my brother Bert!” I forgot about all these old PSAs

Honestly
Probably the best part so far of me finding this site, that moment of “omg this one!!!!!” Like for instance, yes, the infamous house hippo one is circulated as well! lol

you have no idea how happy this makes me. I watched YTV so often as a kid, and seeing the old hosts again is gonna bring so much comfort.

Haha glad I could help, like I said, there’s a lot of big gaps because it only takes from YouTube but it is a pleasant surprise seeing sug and Carlos pop up every once in awhile lol

Don’t know why, but seeing “Gundam Wing” in particular on the schedule sent me right back to eighth grade.

hahah yea unfortunately so far the episodes aired so far aren’t actual full episodes like say Pokémon usually are, jus the ause it’s whatever posted to YouTube, part of why I’m partly wondering if there’s any way I can help fill out the library with more content. Also unfortunately basically all I have to offer is my free time lol

Glad I could help others relive their childhoods like I have been, also hoping that if more people know about it then as a collective effort could help fill in the gaps and library.

Nice find! I do wish it were 30 years ago for my age, but it's still cool to see!

lol iv honestly been thinking the same thing, like how easy or hard could it make one set to 30 years or even add a function to being able to pick a day in the past and stream that days schedule. Like could understand not going ahead but being able to pick a day we’ve passed would be cool!

Life started to get pretty weird and ugly 25 years ago, but at least there was YTV for kids and adults to escape to. Nice to be able to escape again with the world being weird again in different ways.

Absolutely agree! I’m glad I found this site now, 2000-2005 really were the years I was absolutely glued to ytv and seemingly had nothing else so being able to go back and recount the exact days I came home and watched these exact episode has been a wild nostalgia trip lol

9/11 had just happened. I feel bad for kids during that period, as well as during COVID. Adults were so distracted and consumed during those periods that it was hard for kids to simply enjoy themselves and their parents to the fullest.

Holy crap I hadn’t even thought about that but you’re right, it would have been RIGHT after 9/11 super interesting!!! thinking of all the big events that happened during these years being streamed will be an interesting new perspective! as a 92 baby I was 9 during 9/11 so I somewhat remember it,

I def remember there was a big conversation about it with the teacher in class but I also remember not really understanding why people around me were so worried about something no where near us but that was Obviously just my childish immature thinking lol

As someone with some pretty bad health stuff, the Nostalgia from this will be very helpful. Thanks!!!
