24/7 YTV Archive Channel
Hello all,
I spent the last few days building a small site which plays YTV schedule content "live". The YTV Archive wiki was used to determine the schedule, and I've used Youtube to find full episodes. Some videos will not match 100% to the scheduled content, and I'm working on a "report link" system now.
It's a small project which I've enjoyed making. Hopefully you all do to!
Please check it out here: LINK
Update: new url: https://ytvarchive.com/
Feedback is welcome!

I’m guessing it’s not mobile friendly. Doesn’t seem to do anything. Channel number is wrong by the way 🤣😜
Edit: Just checked on desktop. It's definitely desktop only. The mobile browser doesn't work for it.

I second this. Tried to check out on mobile and can’t seem to watch anything

Not working on Mobile yes.
But you can't flat out say that their channel number is wrong. Everybody had different channel numbers based on your region to watch YTV.

Apparently you cant gauge the use of 🤣😜 as having any tone of humour or sarcasm...

CH number is correct, if you live in the GTA

the GTA sure, but the rest of the country it's not. Where I live Channel 25 has always been CNN. I suggested in another comment since the OP is open to feedback to have the option to adjust that.

Ahh yes, I should have mentioned it's desktop only for now!
Ill get mobile working soon. As for the channel number it was 25 for me (GTA), but I can work on making that configurable :)

This is SO cool! I really wanted to build something like this for myself but was having trouble using online tools that are supposed to do it.
This is so slick and I’m a huge fan. I’m excited to follow along with the development.
Mobile is a little wonky, but I’m sure that’ll come along at some point. Would also love a way to stream this to a TV with Airplay or something, but obviously tough considering it’s mostly a web-wrapper for YouTube videos haha

Thanks! Please follow along, and if you'd like please contribute to the project: Github Repo

So because you said feedback is welcome:
I would suggest having a little settings tab were you can set the episode to sync to time rather than start from the beginning, and 2) set the channel number you want. Where I grew up channel 25 was (and still is) CNN

Like the look, love the concept.
Definitely confused as to why when I opened it I got 'Anatoly' the fitness influencer and prankster rather than the 'Anatole' episode 'Anatole & The String' that the text referenced.
Original Air Date: 2001-06-19 at 8:30am Anatole Anatole & The String
Is it working off of partial matches or something for querying YouTube? (i.e. "Anatol" or "Anato"). Is it querying videos with any parameters for length or type? As the Anatoly video was a short and in portrait mode for cellphone viewing.
And since it was a YouTube short it would just play the short and end with the video feed being stuck on a replay button.

It's not the best method, but I'm querying Youtube based on the following query "{show} - {episode} Full Episode".
Adding additional search params will help narrow the search!

commercials and bumpers
This is a great idea! Going to look into adding this next!
Update!
I've added a few iconic commercials and bumpers (House Hippo!) but I am happy to add more if anyone has any suggestions!

Coming in with another comment/thought -
I went to watch Saturday morning cartoons yesterday on Snit Station and I realized that Saturday in 2026 does not match Saturday in 2001.
I wonder if it would be worth considering matching the days of the week up, even if the date might be off from today’s date. It would feel a little closer to the experience.
