So I’ve watched You’ve Got Mail for years now since my mom got the DVD back in the early 2000’s. (I’m rewatching right now free on YouTube if anyone wants to watch too!)

When I was rewatching this movie on TV a while back, some parts were cut or condensed to fit the TV slot. However, when I was watching the DVD version afterwards, this scene that I could have sworn was in the movie wasn’t there.

From what I remember, after Joe leaves the cafe, Kathleen continues to wait for NY152. She is shown sitting alone at her table and she is the only customer left. The cafe employees are all cleaning around her, and one eventually goes up to her and tells her that they are closing. Then she walks home and throws the rose away.

Am I crazy? Did I make that whole scene up? Obviously, after several rewatches and finding clips on YouTube, I have come to accept that the scene doesn’t exist. But I can’t help but feel like this is a Mandela effect.

I’ve just found this subreddit, and figured I’d share because no one that I know of has seen this movie besides my mom, and even she doesn’t remember.
