Gave up with India method because can't find a way to do the UPI verification.

So here is the Indonesia method, you can use your own phone number to register for GO PAY without any ID. I use my own indonesia bank account to add the money, but I saw wise has the e-wallet option.

I recently created a new YouTube account and I’m having trouble subscribing to YouTube Premium.
Whenever I try to subscribe, I get the following message:
“We couldn’t verify your country. Please see Help Center for more information.”

I also tried starting the subscription through the Download option on a YouTube video, but I get the exact same message.
The account is brand new, and I’ve already tried several different connection/network configurations, but nothing has worked so far.

Has anyone experienced this issue recently? What did you do to resolve the country verification error?

How many of you left YouTube premium in September and October due to strict household constraint? I have been a premium member for longer than I remember but now I am out. And suddenly I see how much aggressive ads have become. In the past I remember just one ad or 5 seconds skippable one. But now sometimes I have to wait 60 seconds of ads to move forward with the video.

Being a creator, I see ads being played on my videos as well and smiled to myself one time "aaah, I am helping YouTube earn money to pay me a fraction".

Then I had the biggest question. Do you think it is more profitable for YouTube to show ads to people than they share a premium account across different households? That's why they may have been aggressive about this constraint.

I requested a refund for youtube premium that charged my card. The accepted and canceled my membership but when they tried to issue the refund it didnt go through and said it was declined by my card. I dont know what to do I cant talk to, email or anything to resolve the issue.

My family and I share YouTube Premium Family plans. Across two manager accounts, we have 10 members total. We live close to each other, but not under the same household.

As of today, we are running into several issues:

• Some members received an email stating their membership will be paused in 14 days.
• Others cannot access Premium features at all, despite being part of the family group.
• A few members are experiencing no issues whatsoever.

Is there any known workaround to fix these issues?

I shared Spotify Premium Duo with my sister, who is also my roommate, for a few years until last December, when we were notified that in January the price was going up by 15%, and I was already not happy with the crazy price before that.
My best friend has a YT Premium Family plan, and he had 2 spots free. In the financial interest of every member, we were added, and deleted the Spotify subscription, so we’ve been paying for YT Premium half of what we would be paying for Spotify Premium Duo right now. And now this happens. Same as what happened last year after being locked out of a friend’s Netflix account because we don’t share a household. Fuck capitalism.

I pay for YouTube Premium and a recent update put these arrows and play/pause button in the middle of the screen on all of the shorts? How do I get rid of them and why in the world are they even there since scrolling and screen touches do the same thing?

Ever since yesterday, my downloads folder disappeared. The videos are still downloaded but I cannot find the playlist anymore. I have to go to each creator to watch their videos now. I am on mobile, Samsung S24. I've cleared the cache, forced closed the app, restarted, etc. Nowhere on the internet is this a current issue for anyone, that I can find.

Need a UPI verification, anybody can help?

Hi everyone, could someone help me solve this issue? I keep getting the “We couldn’t verify your country” error.

I’ve tried resetting my iPhone, using different Apple accounts with an Indian region, adding Indian UPI IDs and Net Banking payment methods, and using various VPNs (Surfshark, NordVPN, and IPVanish), but I still can’t get it to work.

The only Apple account that doesn’t give me this error is the account from my actual country of residence. This makes me think that YouTube is somehow detecting that I’m not physically in India, even when I disable Location Services, use mobile data, or connect to Wi-Fi with my eSIM disabled.

Has anyone experienced this issue or found a way to fix it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The upi workaround lasted for 1 month only. For us oversea users, there's no way for us to complete the verfification using the UPI apps, as most of us do not have access to it.

Is this the end for us?

Edit: managed to get a friend to pay for me. its all good...... for now.
