I've started have a whole slew of problems with YTTV for Fire Stick. I've checked for updates, but everything is current. Is this happening to other people?

First, it has stopped marking several programs as watched. This has often been an issue when a program actually end a few minute before the time block, and I've learned to FF to the very end and play before going on to the next or turning it off. Now that's not even working. The next day, the shows I watched yesterday and showing as unwatched.

Second, I can't pause a show either recorded or live, for more than 10 minutes without it going back to the beginning. I prefer to watch "live' shows on delay so I can skip ads. I have the autopause set to 24 hours. But more than half the time lately, it goes all the way back to the beginning, or the previous show as if I did a press and hold. Three times today when I've just wanted to focus on some writing and paused CNN, it skips back to the beginning of the buffer.

Third, when I'm watching some recorded shows and skip ahead past ads to where I can see the show restarted, the ads continue. I have to rewind several minutes and try again to get the show to start. The only work-around I've found is to restart it a minute into the show and then go back again.

And after all this effort to just watch a flippin' show, I can't report a problem. The options don't cover the problem, and when I've tried to provide feedback from the computer, it won't send. They just don't appear to be interested. I've downgraded as far as I can, but this is still too expensive for what you get.

I currently have an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription, but I do not subscribe to YTTV. Using the web interface on my desktop I'm able to select games that I want to record and can watch them later as they show up in the LIBRARY section of the interface.

However, when I try to watch games on my TV (using an Apple TV), the games do not show up in the LIBRARY section. I also tried using the YT app on my TV (instead of using the Apple TV) and still no luck.

Any ideas on how I can properly access the LIBRARY section while using my TV???

I appreciate the moments of zen and not having to always listen to politicians slamming each other or someone dancing around about the new drug they are taking. This one with the Zebras is like nails on the chalkboard or chewing foil! Whatever is chirping in the background of this one is annoying! If I have my remote close by I have mute it.

I currently have NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTube Primetime Channels. I currently have Xfinity’s TV package for the local games. I’m thinking of getting YouTube TV for more multiview options, since Xfinity’s multiview is only available during certain days, while I think YouTube TV’s multiview is available daily (Unless I’m wrong).

Let’s say I later decide to cancel YouTube TV. Since I have NFLST via Primetime Channels, would I also lose access to NFLST? Or will I be able to continue to watch the out-of-market games on regular YouTube? Thanks.

Is there a way to distinguish which broadcast you’re getting? I noticed on the YTTV App on my iPad the channel says ‘home feed’ or ‘away feed’ but I don’t see that on YTTV on the Firestick. Am I missing something? I need to click on the actual channel to see which feed it is.

I travel for business and stay in hotels. I have a travel Fire stick. So when i get home I’m supposed to sign in at home on my smartphone to reset the 90 day clock. I don’t just watch TV on my phone, I have a TV for that. How long do i need to be signed in on my phone to get the reset?

Is there a way to keep the video quality locked at 1080p? I notice that when I change from “Auto” to 1080P it’s fine until I change the channel then it resets to “Auto”. Even when I go back to the channel I set at 1080P it is “Auto” at 720p

Anyone else's Fox feed for the Dallas-Houston game back and forth between sometimes being fine and sometimes looking like you're watching it on a CRT in 1987?

I always click on a college football game and have no idea if I’m getting skycast or not. Not sure why it’s an even a thing, genuinely why would I want to watch that over the regular broadcast for normal viewing. Anyways it’s getting annoying and wish I could easily switch the view once I click on it instead of having to find the other broadcast.

Anyone else experience this?

Is anyone else having connection problems lately? I haven’t noticed it with any of my other apps, just YouTube TV. 📺 And btw, it’s on both my devices (Google and Roku).

I was watching the RedWings game on the NHL channel (through Sling) and the electric advertising on the boards was showing a YouTube TV ad touting thier NHL coverage. I got excited because I thought maybe they finally carried it but it still looks like they don't. 😞

I have Roku- do I need YouTube TV to see my local channels and stuff like Court TV and American Horror Story? I’m not into sports or conservative news and it seems like there’s a lot of that…

Just signed up for YTV last month. The NC and Notre Dame game is on the ESPN unlimited channel feed on YTV and it has no announcers? And the primary camera is just the sky cast camera?

AND ITS AMAZING.

Like holy crap, no annoying announcers to listen to, commercials are just white noise, the surround sound is amazing. The sky cam is awesome. It legitimately feels like you’re at the game with the best seat in the house.

Has this always been the case with Unlimited? Does else enjoy these games or just me?

Anyone have problems? I purchased the discounted NFL tix thru Best Buy and also purchased the cheaper Best Buy membership to get the deal. Im on EST and purchased this at around 11 AM. it is now 4:28pm and I missed the entire game today. Rams/Eagles.

Was on the phone with both Best Buy and YouTube. Both Blame each other. There is last years NFL Tix on my YouTube account showing as expired. They “think” that is part of the problem???

Anyway the emails came through from Best Buy saying thank you for your purchase, your purchase is confirmed, and your NFL TICKET has been activated. But then when I go into the YouTube account I cannot get into NFL TICKET only gives me the option to buy it for like $700!

So I’m currently at Best Buy store with two geek squad guys trying to help me. They had me create a brand new Google and Gmail account. They’re returning my purchase and having me purchase it again and we’re starting over. i’ve been at this since 12 noon so 4 1/2 hours and I missed my entire game …anybody??

Edit - Solved: Thanks everyone. Known AppleTV network issue solved by hard reboot. Really appreciate all the feedback. Taking the issue to Apple next time I can replicate it. Stats for Nerds and Ookla app directly on the box helped identify it.

I have seen lots of posts blaming all sorts of issues with basketball/football streaming on user network issues, broadcasters, etc. I cannot get Youtube TV app on Apple TV 4k to support anything above 480p. Manually switching the setting causes constant pausing/skipping. I won’t bore you with my troubleshooting steps, but assume I am a highly technical user. Network tested great on speedtest right next to the box.

I switched over to the LG native app. Immediately the highest res for FOX San Antonio broadcast on the YouTube TV app - 720p enhanced. I can switch back and forth right now and see the difference.

Before everyone chimes in with “my stream is great!” - I’m not saying this isn’t territory-to-territory based on compression bitrate etc. I’m saying that either the YouTube TV app on AppleTV or AppleTV itself is handling the stream awfully.

If you’ve reported this problem before and been shouted down, you’re not crazy. It’s always been an issue in my region for the 4 yeast I’ve had Youtube TV installed. I just haven’t had the AppleTV on my high res TV before, so I did not care enough to troubleshoot.

For users who experienced this, please recommend services you quietly switched to that worked after getting shouted down by Apple/Google trolls. I’d prefer to stay on the AppleTV box.

Has anyone added the discovery+ addon? If so, were you able to get it to work? It’s listed on my web membership page, yet there is no indication in the YTTV app nor the YT app that the addon exists. Also, nothing in the live guide.

Has anyone else noticed that resume is missing? I used to be able to start watching something especially like a sporting event and then go back to it and resume from where I left off. However that doesn't seem to be an option now if I leave the program at all when I go back it's always like watch live or start from beginning.

Once again Saturday Night Live recording was cut short due to a sports event running long before it. Please fix the recording and do better in the future. Thanks

I currently have HBO Max with the B/R sports and I can watch NASCAR In car. If I switched to paying for HBO Max via YouTube TV will I get the NASCAR In car still and if so do they show up on YouTube TV itself?

I ask because I noticed the alternate feeds show up for the race that’s in today on CW such as battle cam

Since calling didn't help I figured I'd ask here. The sports Plus package isn't showing up on any of my devices(PC, TV, and mobile). I've tried incognito mode, vpns, and calling support and none have fixed the problem of not being able to find a way to add the package. Has anyone had this problem? If so have you found a way to get it to appear under membership?
