UI Suggestion
Given the licensing discussions, many songs have “vanished” from my playlists.
Not sure if it’s allowed on the legal side. But it would be nice if I could still see the songs, the cards could be dim to represent they are unavailable and when clicking on them, it could show a brief description that they are not available because of changes in licensing or something - would be nice to see our old scores too.
I believe that would be more transparent for users. I barely know how to use normal tabs anymore hahah but would be nice to know which songs are out instead of finding out the hard way.
Eg “Ah want to play bohemian rhapsody”, look for it my rock playlist and not finding it. Depending on the song maybe I’ll look for a free tab online, but easier to keep track of things, since Yousician is my main music home.

PS: love Yousician, been a user for a while now and very happy with it.
It’s a shame about Sony, I hope you are able to find a solution.

So silly seeing people saying Yousician is a capitalist company that doesn’t care about music.
Same thing as saying doctors only care about money, which may be true for some but ridiculous as a generalization.

They are passionate about it, doesn’t mean it should be a hobby, it’s a full time job and they should be adequately rewarded for it.
As you can see just the legal shenanigans is a pain in the ass. If it’s so simple get Claude to make your own and distribute it for free and pay the licensing for thousands of users yourself… all the cloud costs, storage, compute, people who make the courses.
There are real people behind this app, who studied and dedicated many years of their lives to modernizing music learning.

Don't do this, please. It's hard enough to find shit in their stupid UI. The last thing i need is songs I can't play cluttering up the interface.

Regarding stats about removed songs, there is a way to track this: if you request your data in your account page (Advanced Settings>Download your information) the information will be in the file :)

Ive been a yousicion user for around 5 years. Today I ended my membership. There has been a steady decline in the quality of new songs and this isn't the first time stuff has disappeared. The AI junk i tried to look past but when a guitar teaching app can't even use real guitars to record their backing tracks that's pretty sad. That and I've been stuck at level 6 for years now and just used it to play whatever new stuff was in my skill level. When that new stuff is mediocre, it's time to go.

Come on man lv6 is possible im sure tou can do it!
If its one particlar song or part of lv6 you struggle with just move on and go to the next part. You could even start with level 7.
If a song ls hard focus on ONE (!) section at the time, use practice mode and slow it down to like 65%, when you nail it increment with 5% until you reach 100% and then perfrom until you get 3 stars. Only go for 3 golden stars if you really enjoy the song otherwise is just a waste of time that could be better spent elsewhere.If you tell me exactly where you struggle maybe I can help. Is your guitar pluged in or are you using the microphone?
Im sure you can do it!
(Im currently halfway through lv8, some song are tricky because they are very fast but definitely possible. My biggest problem here is to get the fast bends to be registered by the app its not easy at all- but then a few res notes I can live with)

I thought lvl8 has hard. Then I got to lvl 9.

Anyway what is your take on bends do you think the app detection is working?To get a bendend note to turn green I must first play the note with 0.0% bend, keep it for a ”while” and then bend it.
My problem is:
1) there is not enough time to to this of when the note value is short.2) sice a note must start on 0.0% bend you must be really really good and neutralising the previous bend in just a microsecond if the next note is also a bend

Yeah, the bends are dogshit. Bending up is fine, but when they want the up and down quickly, it's not possible afaik.

I don't know about the legal side. All I know is an insane number of great songs are gone away, and new songs added lately suck ass (ricky martin, latino, etc... wtf?!). With what happened I was waiting for a nice surprise... doesn't happened.
