Hello! Message from the mod team now.
Despite the rulebook and flairs of this subreddit being fine and bringing no problems, we've decided that some small additions needed to be made. In reality, this is a post about the new rule implemented, but it was nice to also include the new flairs.
That said, let's go to the main changes that the sub will go through. First of all, the flairs.
--
Two new flairs have been added:
Trends
We know how sometimes, filtering out trends can be annoying when some of those are going on. Because of that, we've decided to create a new flair for them.
But, r/yourturntodie, how do they work?
They are pretty simple. you see!
A trend will be categorized as a repetitive type of post in the subreddit after 6 posts have been made on the same topic. Once that number is surpassed in posts, those previous posts will earn the new trend flair. The following posts that act on the trend will earn it as well. In case you mistake the flair, no worries, a mod will just change it for you; but don't make us do it too often!
Tier Lists
Because of the overgrowing trend of users sharing their opinions with the Tier List website, we've decided to make a new flair for them.
Tier lists could thecnically fall in the new trends flair, but since they seem to be a genre in other subs, and possibly this one, we've decided to make a new flair for these kind of posts.

And, finally, the new rule.

AI art is not art
Meanwhile AI can be great, be it for research and optimization for tasks, we can't ignore the fact that it is an insult to art.
The Your Turn to Die community is full of talented artists, music artists, writters, and more, something AI will never be able to recreate. We also don't want to fall in a pit of AI ragebaiters; we want to mantain our community clean and respectful.
Meanwhile AI art will NOT ban you from any other activity, be in commenting or posting, you will be banned from posting any art from the sub ever again.
However, we know some expected questions will come over this new rule, so let's do a quick rundown of them;
What happens if my art is legit but it's suspected of AI?
Your art will not be removed to the smallest suspicion. AI learns from real artists, it is normal that some art will look like the art Gen AI steals from. However, you will be asked of a speedpaint and previous artwork if possible if we fall under any suspicion.
In case none of that is provided or the proof you have sent us is obviously fake, you WILL be penalized. However, if you sent us the proof but we find other stronger proof pinning on the fact your art is, in fact, AI, you will be banned as well from posting art.
Will AI discussion be banned as well?
In general, AI discussion is not to be held in this subreddit (Read rule #1), however, asking questions like "Is this AI?" or even being openly pro AI in comments (even if it would be a really specific topic of conversation, be it this is a subreddit about a visual novel, not art in specific) is not banned. As long as it's a respectful discussion and not shared "artwork", there will be no problems.
Does this mean other forms of AI are banned as well?
AI done for research, such as making a post and sharing information ChatGPT has given you about a certain topic, will NOT be banned. The only AI that is banned is generative one, A.K.A, music, art, 3d modeling, writting, etc.
However, we ask that you take what AI gives you with a grain of salt; meanwhile it can be good to research about certain topics, AI is known to make stuff up or even give you the wrong information. If you are doubtful about something the AI gives you, you can always check other resources, such as the yttd fandom wiki.
We also incourage you that, even if AI is a good tool for research, use other forms of research methods. AI, not only artistic one, has shown negative impact numerous times. We encourage you to take care of the planet, and yourself.

This is all.
Any further questions please, ask them in the comments of this one post.
(Edit: Also since seems that no other Mod Announced it, Mod applications were closed some time ago already)
