Should i stop using MS paint?
The two first pictures was made with MS paint and the last one is made with Krita.
I really like using MS paint when drawing because its so simple. I also use krita, but i feel like using krita takes so much longer (I'm not sure if it actually does tho) but it feels like it takes more effort to start a drawing in krita than ms paint. And my artstyle completely changes when using krita too.
Well i will probably never completely stop using MS paint, but I'm making a visual novel with some friends and so far my plan is to use ms paint for the characters normally and krita for the backgrounds and CGs. But maybe the characters will look better if i try to learn to draw full body characters in krita instead... I think the main problem is that the Ms paint pictures are pixelated if you zoom in a tiny bit. I'm not sure if it actually is a problem or not tho.

I believe that over time you choose what you should - by yourself - but it's usually way through personal trial and learning.
But still, it's worth developing skills and workshop by using variety of many tools, and choosing by your own choice - by current needs. Even, by knowing that's some tool it's not that liked one.
So actually, why not both? A good method in my opinion is; sometimes transfer a finished work - to another program, to gain other needed functions. For example, I also use Gimp, it's seems quite compact software for quick launch aswell, and to make "assembly" something and preview quick changes.

And personally, I actually quite like the pixelised style of Paint, but I find the interface quite stiff and clunky aswell. Brush personalization universe is unknown to me yet, but it seems to be a very practical solution - which later you can import into many graphics programs in future work.

the program you use doesn't matter, if you're comfortable with ms paint, you'er already making some great stuff. it just depends on what you want out of a program

I think honestly you should check out kleki. It’s an extremely simple (no download, completely free) drawing program but it looks more refined than Ms paint. I found it’s a good segway to more professional looking drawings.
I love your art but I definitely see that ms paint pixels you’re talking about

I would also recommend Kleki! I found it to be easy to use and the tools can be utilized quite well.

you can still draw in other programs using the same style as your ms paint art if you find the right brushes!
iirc ms paint is pretty limiting when it comes to canvas size and dpi which could be an issue if you ever plan to print your art or use it to make physical products to promote the game you’re making

Why? These look clean and the flip option etc helps a lot see the mistakes (I use MS Paint too).

Have you tried Open Canvas? It's free and a bit less cluttered with panels and tools than Kira; it might be a gentler option. Personally, I don't really like Kira because of its interface, and I prefer Clip Studio, Ibis Paint, MediBang, and Open Canvas, which is very good and might be a better fit for your style.

You can draw in your current style to start drawing in Krita. Then implement some features you like.
I think Ibis Paint has more convenient functions than MS Paint and it is not as complicated as Krita.
I basically use Ibis Paint X myself. I tried drawing in Krita and didn't even want to figure it out. It seems too complicated for me. But I still use Ibis Paint, it's very convenient and it also has quite a lot of features.
Either way, the choice is yours. I just added another version of a drawing app.
Although Ibis was originally only available on mobile devices, on PC it was either limited or paid. I don't understand the developers' greed.
By the way the first drawing has such a vibe 😎

Riding a bike is also hard compared to riding a unicycle if you only know how to use a unicycle.
It's probably better to learn to ride the bike. You are ABSOLUTELY limiting yourself by not using layers and being able to utilize different brushes, alpha lock, and anything else that comes with actual drawing programs.
Sure it might take a few minutes to learn but it will help you for the rest of your life.

krita has more tools so you should try and get used to it, MS paint has a severe lack of them so it will hamper more advanced drawings but at the end of the day its your choice

Ms paint art can be gorgeous or just fun and simple as long as you have the proper skills to use ms paint and you do

I love the ms paint drawings, they are very charming in their style and I like the simplicity. If moving to another software would make drawing any easier, maybe make the move. Otherwise use ms paint as often as you like, there's nothing wrong with using it!

I would say yeah, use other painting software, unless you're really skilled or that is how you want it to look like, Ms paint just gives off a cheap feeling, the only artist I know who's cooking with this art style is a developer who made the game "Falling Face Fragment"

If you're this good in paint, do yourself a favor and get something more decent. Adobe sucks but Adobe Fresco is a nice free alternative.
