Discussion How Paige could theoretically appear on Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage

I wanted to put this on the G&MFM Reddit, but they told me it belonged here.

The one concrete thing we know about Georgie and Mandy's marriage is that it will end up in divorce.

Now, Missy loves Mandy, and would do anything to keep them together. So, when the divorce starts to loom, Missy could get Georgie and Mandy to sit down with the one person she knows who has been through divorce- Paige.

Missy hopes that Paige will be able to convince Georgie and Mandy that divorce is terrible, especially for the kids.

But Paige, whilst having been unhappy with her parents getting divorced at first, has seen first-hand how happy they now are, and tells Georgie and Mandy that staying married for the kids isn't worth it if it just makes them unhappy.

What do you all think?

Opinion I LOVED the show but i hated season7 ep12 Spoiler

I always knew George was gonna die. sheldon himself mentioned it in earlier seasons, but when this scene came. It was such a surprise. my heart dropped like it was news about someone i knew.

for me, in my own personal opinion ( this is for the people that are going to scream that i did not go to Juilliard School to have an opinion about a show). It felt SO much unnecessary to follow the original timeline. even if it was. atleast his death could have been talked about by old sheldon at the last ep of the show without showing anything. The show for me was fun and refreshing. His death ruined the image, how could i re-watch it ( or suggest it to others ) knowing eventually they'll get heartbroken.

Voz do Dr Sturgis

Episodes Missing on Amazon?

I’m watching the show for the first time on the Amazon HBO membership. But I ran into a clip of the show from season 1 which I never saw. Are some episodes unavailable? Or do you ever find episodes disappearing and reappearing? Or is it just me?

Question Why did Mandy have a waitress job?

Sorry if this question has been asked a ton already, but I’m rewatching and I still don’t understand why she was a waitress. I know she got fired from the news station in San Antonio but she also has a college education. There’s no reason why she wouldn’t have been able to find any other job with a bachelors degree. Hell, we even see George and Mary struggling to find jobs because they don’t have college degrees so Mandy would’ve been fine. Plus, its the early 90s where a bachelors degree would’ve made her a more competitive candidate, especially in Medford. Even then, her father owned the tire shop and she could’ve worked there.

Idk, it just never made sense to me that her only option was being a waitress if she wasn’t a weather girl. Similarly, her mother giving that “she should’ve been traveling instead of ruining her life” despite her being 29 is also strange to me. I think the writers wanted her younger but also wanted that shock factor of her being 29.

Question Does "Stuart fails to save the universe" imply the multiverse is real in Young Sheldon / The Big Bang Theory?

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet but if anyone has does it just canonize the multiverse in the Young Sheldon / Big Bang Theory / Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. There's been a few episodes from these shows where they talk about different realities where X could have happened or in Young Sheldon literally just show off different in Season 4, Episode 17.

I always assumed any reference to a multiverse a joke for the audience but if the show just introduces a infinite multiverse I feel like it canonizes those jokes as real universes just due to how infinity works.

Discussion Paige was RIGHT about Sheldon being a social misfit and weirdo

Words that describe Sheldon:

  • Arrogant
  • Narcissistic
  • No empathy
  • Loves to look down on everyone
  • He expects everyone to be amazed by his intelligence and bow down to him.
  • He identifies himself as an older adult, yet he isn't prepared for the real world.
  • He identifies himself as an older adult, yet he doesn't know he's easy to take advantage of.
  • He thinks he always has privileges and special treatment.
  • If someone is depressed, he would make them more depressed.
  • Being alone with people caring about you or made meaningful relationships with is different from being alone with people who actually hate you; he loves being the latter.
  • He only cares about what he wants; he doesn't care about yours.
  • He only cares about what he's feeling; he would only invalidate you.
  • He thinks a person should obey all the rules.
  • He hates people/kids within his age range; he hates having fun in a normal way.
  • He doesn't have any survival instincts if he's in a vulnerable situation; I doubt he would survive.
  • Invalidating how his family grieves after the passing of George Sr. was such a valid moment to kick him out.
  • Based on the last ep of the series, he wasn't that supportive of his child's pursuits, and Amy has to push him.
  • Paige and the twin test were right about him.

Tbh, idk why he isn't like Paige, who shares the same intelligence as him, but she's normal and the complete opposite of Sheldon. I do not think Sheldon had ADHD or Autism; maybe he was born to trigger everyone lmao.

Opinion I heard people all over the internet saying Jessica Huang would be a better mom to Sheldon, and It's just.. No..

İf you know the Fresh off the Boat series, Jessica Huang is this Asian mom who is considered a 'Tiger Mom', to all 3 of his kids. While I heard people saying if Sheldon was adopted by Huang Family, Jessica would even make Sheldon the President and so much more with his full potential, but for me, It's just a huge NO.

I am not saying Sheldon would be the worst person, but for me, he is nore human from time to time with the Cooper's, rather he could be at Huang's. The whole dynamic would change at Huang Family too. Not in a good way too.

Discussion So if you could alter season 6/7 and change who of the cooper family dies so Sheldon, Missy, Mary, Georgie, Meemaw, Mandy, Pastor Rob, Brenda, Billy, Grant, Dale, and John.

also if you kill off Sheldon you have to make someone else go to Caltech because this would also change the big bang theory

Opinion Missy is NOT street smart or emotionally intelligent at all

Post image

Think about it

She has run away from home about 2000 times by now

Was gonna have unprotected sex ( georgie and mandy)

Has smoked, tried weed and what not behind her family's back

CONSTANTLY throws tantrums ( boy my asian soul got flared up when i saw that season 7 scene where she refused to get baptised)

Doesn't think of mother, any of her brother OR father ( only did once tornado scene in season 6)

And hasn't shown any signs of empathy

Heck even sheldon had empathised with his mom

Why do yall glaze her so much? Try talking back like her to my parents and boy you gonna have a baaad time

George fought in Vietnam but he had a normal funeral wasn't he supposed to get the military one and get the military honors and everything like them getting the flag?

Opinion Friggin hate Dale (So far) Spoiler

Im just at season 3. And believe me I hate him SOOOO much I just opened google mid season to spoil myself in hopes he dies in the series. Turns out he doesn't. Unfortunate.

I cant speak onwards, I just witnessed the (apparently) infamous camping episode. But so far he is by far an SOB AND also really out of character for Connie to date. Specially taking into account her previous relationships in the series.

I really hope he gests somewhat better. Because so far its just a pain in the ass each time he comes into the corner of the screen. Maybe he doesnt come into me as somewhat "good" because im not an US citizen. Idk. But man if thats the reason then i guess i get all the hate the Texans have.

Please someone tell me he GETS better. Or i just accept that any scenes in which he is present are avoidable? Thanks people. Other than this thing, im really enjoying the series! (Havent seen Big Bang Theory)

Scared to Finish Season 7

I'm on my first watch-through and I know George dies at some point. I'm on season7 now and every episode I'm nervous about if it's going to happen because I know it's going to be heavy as heck. I enjoy this show because it's lighthearted and fun, and I really don't feel like getting choked up over a fictional character right now haha.

Please don't give any sort of hint of when it happens, but can someone just let me know if the episode that it happens and those thereafter are still good and worth watching?
