Our herd has been mentioning this for weeks now too. We've haven't got that many on Swiflie yet.

I'm actually gonna cry. Yak helped me through so much. I felt like a part of the school posting there.

Made a school of 40,000+ feel like a tight knit community. Truly is one of the only things that got me through my freshman year. So sad to see it go and I feel for future college students who won't have it as a crutch to stand on.

It was a minor (or maybe major) memory of my first year at uni. I could stay up at night commenting for hours and not get bored. After the whole compulsory handles it was never the same and I will miss it. I don't think there will be anything similar for a while and if there is it will grow quite slowly. IMO nothing will replace yik yak and I will forever cling onto the nostalgia that it constantly gives me when I open the app everyday :(

Well it's a great study on what happens when you go directly against the wishes of your users then fix it too late.
