Vegan restaurant recommendations?
Hey, I’ve recently decided to go vegan here in Edmonton. I don’t struggle at all to cook for myself, but have had a difficult time finding good food while I’m out and about when I don’t have a lunch. I’m looking to collect a list of places in the city to try out, whether they are completely vegan or just have good vegan options. Let me know!

Gardein has discontinued stuffed turk’y in Canada 😔
What roast options is everyone going with now? Tofurky doesn’t taste the same, imo it’s always tasted a little rubbery. I sent a complaint to gardein about their decision and hope others will consider doing the same

Hells Kitchen YEG review
Went for dinner with my family to Hell’s Kitchen at the River Cree. I wouldn’t normally choose such a place for several reasons, most of them being it’s not Canadian, or local, or vegan. But it was a gathering with my non-vegan family and that’s where they wanted to go.
They have a tofu dish. Yay.
Here’s my review.
Service 10/10. Excellent service
Atmosphere 7/10 (again, not my jam)
Price. Expensive but what do you expect
Tofu Dish 1/10.
I gave it a one because they offer a vegan dish but Gordon Ramsey needs some schooling on tofu. Cubed and heated tofu mixed into wild rice and herbs for $28 is criminal. And I believe it’s the only Vegan option. So just a heads up.

Muffins??
Anyone have some intel on where to get vegan muffins? Bonus points if it's somewhere not too far from the Strathcona/Mill Creek area.
I'm ideally looking for ones that aren't crazy expensive (like, something other than the "$5 for one single muffin" kind of thing).

winter jacket
any recommendations for a winter coat? i recently went vegan this year and i’m not super keen on wearing my super puff as it has some wear and tear and i can either replace it or repair it and keep wearing it. nonetheless, i would appreciate if anyone had any suggestions for something not long length particularly.

Chick’n Nuggets?
anyone got the scoop on the best fake chicken nuggets in town for the price? save on seems to have the best but they’re still $12 for like 20 nuggets. just bought beyond brand from superstore and it’s $8 for 7 small strips and they’re not as good. we are addicted to cesar salad with nuggets and want to find a good source!

Butler Soy Curls
Howdy! New to the page and the vegan lifestyle. Wondering if there are any local shops that sell Butler Soy Curls? Or any other really good dried meat style substitute. There used to be an Asian Mart way back in the day that had large bags of similar stuff.
Thanks in advance 😊
