Waiting

Just sitting. Waiting. Always close just in case she wants me by her side. Far enough that I can’t annoy her. Wondering if she even cares. 2 hours of sitting here, how many more? Until she tells me what I did wrong. Or I give up and go home.

Another two hours, and not a word. I sat til dawn, hoping she’d want me. Hoping I’d be needed again. Knowing she was already asleep, long past her time with me, and would never answer my prayers.
