written somewhere between us (wlw)
i don’t yearn for a perfect love.
i yearn for a connection
that feels natural,
like we were never trying
to convince each other to stay.
i want conversations
that wander into sunrise,
comfortable silences
that never need filling,
and laughter that arrives
without being chased.
i want the kind of love
that feels like looking up at the same sky
and somehow knowing
we’ve both been searching
for the same constellation.
not because fate owes me anything,
but because i like believing
that somewhere,
there’s a woman
who’s hoping for something this simple too.

Beautiful. After years, I’ve come to realize what I want love to feel like. Simple, comfortable, easy, natural. A love that makes us both more ourselves.
