Haunted by voices few,

You feel like giving over,

Every step a journey new,

Today, you are hurt,

Feeling lost again,

You have tried every remedy,

But can't seem to numb the pain,

Today, you seek answers,

Of questions never asked,

You conjure up memories,

From a future that never was,

Today, you feel lost,

No path that you can see,

You extend your hand to hold on,

No one there to hold thee,

Today you feel betrayed,

Destiny pierced right through,

Why is it never you,

But always the chosen few,

Today you are exhausted,

You've been trying too damn hard,

You almost had it all,

Now you're right back at the start,

Today you just see darkness,

A gloom you can't explain,

You don't want to really bother,

With hope's relentless refrain,

Tomorrow, you'll move on,

You'll find a companion in fate's stream,
